Change DTE using OBD2

Postby csgregor on Wed Mar 31, 2021 3:42 pm

Hi All,

wondering if its possible to change the identifoied fuel tank size using OBD2 software.
I know this is possible on fords and mazdas and is a simple 5 minute solution.

Wondering if its possible on the triton. have upgraded to a 140L tank and would like the gauge to read accurate

You may get the dte to read correctly (or close to it), but the tank geometry may be problematic getting the gauge to work reasonably well.
The voices in my head may not be real, but they do have some damned good ideas.

If it's feral, it's in peril.

MN turbo lag? What lag??

If you know a good tuner, they should be able to do a full bench read of your ecu, then change the capacity of the fuel tank and then flash the file back on to your car.
