Jeez, I hope 265's don't ruin my fuel economy. I'm still on stock tyres (not long now) and getting early 10's. Diesel manual.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

It ain't pretty being easy!!

well that fuel economy is the best i have ever had even with the stock wheels on so shldnt effect yours prob gotta take into account the cab chassis has taller gearing than the dual cab which is ass about face

Averaging 12.8/100 for the last 3 months with a fully loaded dual cab and ladders on the roof racks. was getting low 10's when empty. utes done 60,000k and runs cooper st's. fuel consumption was in the high 8's to low 9's when running dueler at's 694. have driven in other states and haven't noticed difference in diesel. it all comes out of the same wells and refineries anyway.

Sorry bout the fuel thing tex

I have a manual diesel glx with bar canopy with racks and 265 tyres and I get around the early 10's but I have a big trip planned at the end of the month so that should give me a good guage. I have always had early 10s but never the 9.1 they claim.

7.9L/100km last tank, city driving but without the nudge bar it would be a bit better.

Just did a long run in 09 ML DiD auto, stock standard, I've touched nuffin, 700 ks on 60 litres near enough, I'm happy enough with that.

with out Chipit I was getting 10.3/100Km pretty much dead stock. worse on freeway down to 10 ariund city.
With Chipit 9.2 freeway and 9.0-8.9 city. all figures calculated and with scangauge not car computer.

Now I have a few k's on my 2.5hp so have done a few test.

Towing a double horse float in some hills + flat going returns low 12s. On a trip tp Sydney with combined city highway and driven very hard returns 10s. With 32" Tyres, Arb bar and a high roof canopy I'm happy with these figures :D Lot better than my Range Rovers mid 14s to low 20s
My old MJ used to do around 12 to 14 but was intercooled and fueled up.

the good figures are all manual Daryn. note GLX-R has the tyres, bar etc

our autos have way too much slip..........
This car is like a bad drug habit. It is taking all my money and time, my family are concerned, but new mods just feel sooooooo good.

Is this poor fuel quality why my Triton is detonation all the time???? at any throttle increase bar flat to the floor my engine is pinging. I am starting to worry I am doing damage cause it is all the time with or with out the chipit ecu.

Best I have obtained in my MN Auto on the indash screen so far was 11.8L/100km straight down the highway on cruise control at 100-110km/h and no air con. It only has 500km on it so far, does consumption improve after 1500 service? (ie. overfueling for run in?)
White Auto MN Triton

Baysies Bash Plates
Rhino Lining
Coopers ST 245/70R17
Wet Seat Covers

First tank of diesel 502km from 60L = 11.95L/100km

Plenty of mods to come (how bad will the consumption get with barwork etc?) :\

Are all your figures from the truck computer or manually calculated? The reason I ask my computer tells me I`m getting 12.2lt/100km but working out manually from litres filled to km`s per tank I am actually getting 11.03lt/100km`s. I have an 08 glxr manual 3.2lt with the factory tyres, 34thou K`s, only use BP.

Just a heads up for anyone near Salisbury, the new Woolworths/Caltex at Mawsons Lakes has the Caltex Vortex Diesel only and for the same price as standard diesel minus the 4cents discount on top!! Filled up today and will see how it goes. At this stage I believe the motor sounds quieter anyhow!
