Part number would be great. Just cant see clearly in the pics of the bottle ;)

So, does anyone run any useful fuel additives on a regular basis, to cut algae, etc? Used to use Fuel Doctor on all our outboard stuff, and it was excellent, but not used anything on the Triton.

I use a chemtech product called diesel power on and off Mainly in my truck. But last time I purchased it I noticed the mix ratio had changed but the price didn't. It was less concentrated. So not as keen to buy it again.

I regularly use firex ci additive, seems to give slighty better fuel Econ and quieter running.

Well, at $15 per 250ml bottle, wont be long before its cheaper than diesel. Can run the car straight on it then

Has anyone used ICT F10 Fuel Treatment, I guess a lot of these fuel treatments are similar shite in a different bottle, it sells for about $32 for a litre bottle so its cheaper than the genuine Mitsi stuff, is it as good?

I went to Berwick Mitsubishi today and bought a bottle of genuine snake oil for $10.56 including gst. I mentioned that I was a member on this forum and he gave me a discount of 20%.

I think I will be ring them up for prices from now on my local stealer doesn't even stock the gen stuff.

Afternoon all,

I'm new to this website, brillant posts and have been very interested in this post. My Triton 2009 MN 3.2 Diesel was almost stalling some days. The dealer in Newcastle (klosters) replaced the butterfly clip inlet ? and also gave me a bottle of the stuff that is in this post. The little tri harder has not had any problems since. I've not added a bottle for quite a while. To be honest I'm not sure when people refer to the noise? what should I be listening for?

Regards and Happy new year to everyone.

Travel safe.

Well I just got quoted $21.45 a bottle in Toowoomba
So I think it might be time to try some chemtech or 2T

Picked a few bottles up at Heritage Maitland, So far so good went from an average of 12l/100 to 9.5l/100 with BP a return in low end performance, so very happy indeed :)

Tried the genuine mitsubishi stuff out on a full tank last week and I've gotta say that there is a great deal of difference since putting the additive in. Quieter, less rattle, smoother and reduced black smoke. Can't say the consumption has varied much. I've just added a second bottle to another full tank as ive never put any additives in over the past 76, 000 Km two tank runs and I will play spot the difference once I go back to straight diesel.

Ive been using F10 Fuel treatment for a few years now it seems to do the trick.
Cost is about $30 for a litre I generally put 20ml into my tank about every second tank full prior to filling up.

I went to my Mitsu dealer today and asked for some and they gave me a bottle for free, so happy with that. They said it also treats the fuel for any alge as well as cleaning injectors and a few other things. It only needs to be added every approx 15000Ks so that makes it cheap if its ten bucks a bottle.
I have been using 2T and find it quietens the engine noise down and probably runs that bit smoother. When this tank is empty I will try the new stuff in the next tank and see how it goes. I use the 2T that's for motorcycle engines and it was expensive at around $17 a liter then grabbed a four liter for around $55 so a saving there. :D

Hi all, been reading through the thread. Do you guys add the additive every time you fill up? And ive currently done 2300kms on my triton would that be to early to use?

Cheers in advance

No way you'd use it every time it would send you broke. I wouldn't think you'd be needing it yet unless you've been using crap fuel or something. Most of the aftermarket additives I've seen seem to suggest every 5,000 or 7,500 kms. Except for the fuel stabiliser type ones which are smaller doses.

The additive I use says every tank, which I do.

1 ltr bottle lasts approx. 1000 km's and cost me $30 roughly.

Will add pic later

Given the thread title my answer was directed to the genuine additive mostly.

By all means stick it up, it might be good stuff. A few other alternatives have rated a mention too. Just didn't want people getting confused thinking we were saying the opposite of each other about the same thing is all.
