You dont need pics to install its that easy, Just look at your fuel rail (On the battery side of the engine and there is a plug at the back of it near the firewall. Pull that out and plug the chip in its place. 10L/100 should be pretty accurate but my trip computer told me 9.2L/100 all day. Would like to have got that.

Buzzy how was the driveability and power delivery, what setting did you have the chip set on, and was that 276km from the odometer, or adjusted for tyre-size?

Cheers
Andrew

F&%$ me subi I didnt even know I was going up the long drag there near the moony moony bridge on the way down the F3 freeway. Sat on 90 in fifth at the bottom, squeesed the loud peddal, was doing 130 near the top and thought I better take my foot off before I get another fine. Had my old man following in his Pajero. Told me across the UHF that at times I was getting a little puff of smoke out the back. Problem is that it was very inconsistent. Would do it at odd times not necessarily under load. Think I might have a look at putting a desent air filter in, may solve the problem. Also my filter was very dirty so I found out later. For all I know it may have been doing this before the chip went in.

It is set on the standard setting which I assume is 60%, havent changed it.

Driveability is good. It pulls away eaiser from lower RPM, dont have to give it as much to get the same effect.

The 276km was from the odometer

just put the unit in and played around with the settings, tried 12 noticed a little bit of difference, tried 16 was smiling turned it up to 24... when it hit boost it was like a rocket compared to not having the unit on! It's by no means a monster but for a 4cyl diesel it goes well. It will be interesting to see how it goes on some hills
I also tried the F setting which had even better power but kept dying just below 4000revs

I just hope nothing bad happens to anyone's engine - what does the manufacturer say about using the maximum setting?

How about Unifilter? I used to have one on my Navara & X-Trail. Worked fine.

I have no idea what the difference is all I can suggest is that you contact Dave Chandler at TDC & ask him questions.

Scuba,

I think the only difference is the output power...seems to have alittle more hp and torque!

Thats about it, but im sure with the stock unit, and a decent filter should be able to acheive the same amount of power as the CRplus:-)
