Hey there could any body tell me if the scv would put air behind the filter as in air coming from tank to the filter.if not then any ideas ?

If the SCV is fitted properly and the fuel filter is screwed on with its new O rings, no air can get into the system here.

The weak spots are the hoses connecting to the filter. The standard clamps don't inspire confidence.

I suggest an extra worm drive clamp to ensure a good seal.

Hi all I’ve had some bad fuel in my tank. My suction control valve has become stuck. I’ve removed it and cleaned it with 2500 grit wet n dry. It’s running again. So I have now installed a C.A.V pre filter with a glass bowl and changed the factory filter. I have run half a tank of diesel and some water has now been filtered out in the pre filter. My Question is before I install the new SCV. Should I drop the tank out and clean it or will the filter catch all the water?

Be interesting what would come out of the tank if you took it off.

I've been contemplating dropping mine (11yrs old).

Depends on the quality of the filters you have (2micron)? but yeah I just throw a bottle of Fuel Doctor in the tank and let the filters deal with the rest.
