I installed it myself and haven't had a problem since.
I figured if I wasn't happy after the install I could take it into Mitsubishi and get a SQL done.

Just out of interest what symptoms are you showing?

Thanks guys i will try myself.

Symptoms:
While driving between 2000-2800rpm. (approximately) revs are sort of pulsing and engine is making this funny noise whroom,whroom,whroom...,and then engine light usually goes on. Is not happening all the time, but often enough to make me go crazy!!!
do you guys think it maybe it (SCV)?

Just be very careful of the O ring and dont touch any part (with fingers) that goes into the pump and you will be fine. 8-) They run without SQL.

Wow. They're only a bit over $150 on ebay for the genuine denso item. If I'd known you would pay $425 I would have sold you mine

Have you tried a -cheap- and -easy- 300ml dose of Castrol 2T (FC rated mineral 2-Stroke Oil ) into a full fuel tank of dino jooce yet 'trouble'....?? :?: It certainly made a -world- of difference to my own 2010 MN 'old girl' who was 'behavin badly' with low revs / low throttle position miss / stutter'n and black smoke belchin behaviour.....! ;) I'd suggest you've little to lose and lots to gain to just give it a try. :)

Not hard to replace mate. Once you've done it though you're supposed to get the MUTIII onto it to recalibrate something or other. Wouldn't hurt to get the SQL done while you're there anyway. There's a post somewhere from Mattz with part numbers and pictures if I recall correctly. I think he skipped on the Mut3 bit and it still ran but best practice would be to get that sorted too.

You might be right about the -quality- of the Triton SCV's 'mlwoo' because I've seen lots of em advertised for sale on that -high quality- made in China website ie, Aliexpress.com ;) Personally I don't think our shite low-sulphur diesel being sold here in OZ helps them much though either ie, SFA 'lubricity' in it. That's why I started adding a little sip of 2T to my own old girl's fuel tank when she started playing up with missin / stutterin and fartin black smoke and it immediately cured the problem for me making me a very happy old fart once more :D Oh, I did clean the MAF Sensor as well at the same time too.

yeah... i regularly clean my maf sensory, as well as add a pot of injector cleaner every 5000 kms... and add some 2T my fuel. but it only limits it.... my third scv has lasted a lot longer doing this than my previous 2.

Ok I didn't put 2T in but put some Chemtech diesel additive in and it's going great now!!
Put the Chemtech in as I already had it home and thought what the heck it's not going to hurt.

Two stroke does wonders in these donks.

If I add some again after a few refills w/o, the engine just becomes much smoother.

Err Shippy you can't seriously be suggesting you don't know what he's talking about can you? If in doubt go and ask 'anoldfart' and he'll set you straight.

My ex used to call me two stroke...could never work that out? :? must have been my oily skin or something
