Not directly, more blanking the EGR can make the airfuel ratio alter (Richer) as you have effectively partially bricked a source of airflow to the engine while the EGR is opening and TB partially closing.
This phenomenon seems to effect some engines more than others for various reasons including driving style. Such as if driven like its stolen, blanking the EGR will have no effect what so ever. But, if driven like an old Morris minor, it can make the airfuel ratio fall out of bed a bit. I have done test to verify this. 80% will be relatively unaffected with out tuning or some sort or corrective trickery .
This amongst some other theory's is why many tuners insist on leaving some EGR in the mix. ( has all been covered elsewhere.) ;)
Also, back the the SCV, it has been confirmed chipping and or increasing fuel pressure on our denso pumps does not put any extra stress on the SCV. (as covered before, it works on the supply side of the high pressure plunger pump.)

The later SCV's have been pretty trouble free to my knowledge and in the earlier days, the SCV was perhaps framed when in some cases the pressure limiting valve may have been bugging out.

Is there any way to
Blank the EGR on mn 2.5 hp and still keep the fuel air mix normal, prevent it going to a richer mix???

Disconnect the plug (electrical) from the TB to make it inactive

Yep. if you think quick and shut it down, the TB will help smother it, most dont as panic and try other resorts such as standing on the brakes.

I Had a Big week this week, with over 3000Km with 500KG in the Tray.

Stopped for some lunch yesterday and after restarting the ute and idling through town to my last job i got a bit of surging and bucking around, she died on me twice.

Drove the 300KM home last night and all was ok, as i was sitting at 100km-140km +

Thinking about ordering one of these regardless

What are your thoughts? Anyone Used one?

Chiptuning is a chipit dealer, is Robert in Sydney ;) , you can get those plus pumps, injectors etc etc though chipit here.

I'll see if I can get all this stuff added to their area soon as these vehicles are aging, we need to have economical spares available at the drop of a hat. 8-)

After hours of research on here, the SCV is responsible for the surging occurring around the 2000rpm range and up to round the 2500rpm?

My ML has 69K on it, does a lot of short trips these days if any....intermittent problem however becoming ever increasing....

Got the new valve, pulled out the old one, compared the two, the new one is shorter but also looked fatter.
Wouldn't fit in the Hole of the old one :( more limping around for me. i wouldn't think they use a different pump on the same vehicle?

Robert has sent you the wrong one.
Aside the shape and not fitting, some push and some pull so you must get the correct SCV.

The colour of the OEM will help identify it. There are also numbers on it, write them down before reinstalling it.

Just give it a good clean, turn 90 deg and throw it back in till you get the right one.

Just had a missed call from Robert.
He said in his message that it is the wrong one as I have a new style pump?
And also that not even the standard replace he stocks is going to fit.

So wants me to send it back to him and he'll credit. Bugger

Tony?

Is there one for my truck?
It's a 2011 but 2010 built?

I have given it a good cleanup and turned it 90

Unfortunately I dont have any here ATM. (Mine been so sweet with the 2um filter I dont worry about keeping spares any more) Tomorrow is Friday so we wont get anything though Chipit till mid next week now . :(

If you run into real strife, most Denso diesel specialist should have them on the shelf. Not sure who you have over there thou. :? Many will interchange and most diesel specialist will know this, just make sure it fits in the hole and is polarised the correct way.
That hi-spec thing you have there is not a Triton SCV but does has been discovered to fit the early 4M41 pumps. It makes them lope a bit at idle too. 8-)

HI there guys, am I reading this right, the grey connector unit is the original and the pinkish coloured connector is the high spec one? I am asking this as my ML had the pink one fitted from factory?

thanks in advance

Colour corresponds to the OEM SCV, not always the Hi-spec shown. By chance, it happens to be same colour as yours, but not always rule of thumb.
