That was a good outcome mate. The stealer I asked about the squeak fix charged me $55 to look at it because my suspension was modified  and then he told me there is no fix.

That's what I like....good cheap advice

Yep that's the dealer fix anyway for the newer models. The older models get the newer model plastic thingy's....then when they squeak they get the same fix as the newer models.....I'm dizzy :ugeek:

Is the squeak in the front or rear? I have a squeak/groan in the front end. Mine is lifted 2 &3/4 " though
It's easier to get forgivness than permission.

My ute goes back to the dealer tomorrow morning to "fix the rear suspension squeak".....

I warned them when I booked it in that if I see a scrap of WD40 or RP7 hanging of the rear leafs it's staying there.

This is bulls*%t from a car with 4500kms on the clock. Not happy......

Unfortunately mate without the WD40 or grease it will squeak again in about 2000k's.

The grease is the fix :(

Oh I see, ah well, the shim type things they put in are doing the job at the moment, but I'll chuck some grease at it if it does start again, cheers Homer.

Yes mate yours would have had the plastic shims from factory - so that's how quickly they wear out

Ahhh I wondered what happened about your flatties. They did replace them eventually hey....maybe they keep giving you back your old ones? I've never heard of this happening...3 sets of springs flattening out in that short time?

Well i just thought i let you know that the sqeaky suspension is not just a triton feature.I know two hilux drivers that have been driven almost to the point of insanity with squeaky springs.

Mine went in today to replace the Ubolts and get the squeak looked at again as it has already had the fix kit put in it.

They said that the fix kit is actually broken and they will have to put in another one.

I told them that if it squeaks again that I don't want the spray on fix as the old falcon I also drive has done over 300k through all sorts of crap , rarely gets washed and has never squeaked in its life. He reckons the kit will fix it so we shall see.

I'm with you Big Brad, I've got a Patrol ute with 515k on it and the bugger doesn't squeak, and if you saw the state of the underbody you wouldn't believe it. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure the poor old girl doesn't even have any bushes left!! That's on my to do list, but I digress....

My dealer told me that the whole rear end on the Triton had gone out of alignment which caused the rubbing/squeaking to occur, I made it pretty damn clear to them that I wasn't happy about the quality of the suspension parts, as I'm sure every one of us has.

I guess Mitsu are happier to keep replacing these shitty shims under warranty than to fork out for better quality materials during manufacture.

Well the new silencer kit got put in yesterday and picked her up this morning. :D

I must make a recommendation to them to road test things after fitting as it still squeaks exactly the same.. :o

Typical Mitsu service again.

Now have to send it back again to fix it all over again.

I noticed as I got out of my Tri tonight that there was a bit of a squeek coming from the rear springs.

Not too serious, but I will be keeping an ear out.

2 months old & just over 2000km. Hasn't even been off road yet.

After reading these posts it does have me a little concerned.
