i should clarify- ive tightened the hose clamp coming from the radiator to the turbo- as around that clamp is where is seems to be leaking oil. but i dont understand how that could be. ive checked the oil and its full. but i reckon its using a bit of oil as it was well over full a month or so ago

I've just noticed some oil on mine in that same spot... I'll point it out to Lee when it goes in for the 90k service soon, see what he reckons. I've been thinking about a catch can for the last couple of months (i move pretty slowly sometimes ) but i also have no idea where to plumb the hoses to! I'll have to get that pointed out to me as well

Really hard To diagnose sounds via text. Have you run it since?
I wouldn't be mucking around. Call your dealer on Monday and organise a tilt tray! Perhaps if you someone could help you out with a scan guage..

yeah, i let it stand for half an hour. put the filter back in. it had a huge puff of smoke come out, and was noisy, but didnt seem to have anything wrong with it after other than an engine light. i disconnected the battery for an hour (for what it was worth), then went for a drive, 2-3 kms, to see what would happen. nothing. engine light disappeared. so i dunno.
