Ive underbody sprayed 3 tritons, 1 prado and 3 boat trailers and none have any rust.
Tectoyl is the best stuff i have ever come across. Yes it may stink for weeks and stick like poo to a blanket but it works a treat. I took the tub of my ute, rip the wheels off and put up on blocks in the backyard, chuck a cotton tarp over the cab and spray away. Usually do 3-4 coats with thinned down tectoyl, then a couple more of body deadiner/ enamel black paint over the top to seal it off.

After owning a MK, ML and now a MN i have to say that the paint or lack their off is getting thinner over the years!!!! Scarily getting close to great wall territory! Those things come with rust from factory
Happy if im Surfing Spearing Fishing 4WDing Shooting Camping Crabbing & Not-working!!!!! :D

Have a quick look around google, scientifically proven not to work. Notice how there is a lot of testimonials but a distinct lack of scientific proof from anyone who sells them. You would be better of putting the purchase price into fishoil or similar.

I will see what I can do, it's tucked away in the engine bay so might make taking pics hard.

Mine too and hardly ever wash it either. No rust anywhere though and been in salt water launching boats a few times too. I do hose it off after boating trips. :D

I don't have it. Only rust on mine is where paint had been chipped or scratched, front corners of roof and where the plasric trim sits along the rear window. I live across the road from the beach & the car gets parked outside so gathers salt spray and salt air 24/7 for the last 3 years. Try to wash it every weekend, but fail at that half the time.

Anyone know a good panel shop on the sunshine coast?

There is no rust anywhere in my vehicle that I can find and don't know how many pads it has? Mine has been in salt water a few times putting boat in and it doesn't get washed very often either. I do however always wash under it after a fishing trip. Maybe the newer ones are built from tinnier metal??

I have 06 and no sign of rust underneath, even gold passivation on the nuts on the housings are still shiny, the paint on the chassis does look a bit thin like it could take a clean and repaint...

My Brother in law and I both put it in our 4wd's many years ago. My 4 runner ended up getting rust around the window trims, however my bro's 60 series ended up with rust on almost every panel. We used to go to the beach every few weeks and give Em a bash. After that experience (was around $700 per vehicle) we both decided the ERP system was a crock of $hit and waste of money.

Mr Stowe said the ‘science’ behind the claimed protection simply cannot work. For unwanted rust to be attracted to a sacrificial piece of metal using positive electrical current, the negatively connected rusty metal should be in a conductive solution, so essentially the vehicle would need to be constantly submerged in water.

Dunno about the science, but personal experience has told me they don't work.

Without a fluid (water) there's no path for ions to migrate and cause the corrosion effect.

So if the bodywork is dry its not going to form rust at that time. The ERP works when moisture is present, when the material is wet or covered in enough salt and other mineral deposits to retain moisture.

Keeping your metalwork clean and dry is the key to longevity.

Years ago my observations concluded that white vehicles always seemed to be more prone to rust than coloured ones. My reasoning is that the white bodywork never warms up as much as coloured units (esp in winter) and consequently moisture and condensation are likely to be present.

Or maybe rust is more visible on white :-)
