Postby jrad on Sat Oct 17, 2015 6:31 pm

Hi guys. Did a search and couldn't find what I was after. I am wondering what the warrenty is on the paint on my ml triton. Could anyone link me to it or tell me what sort of warren try coverage was on the paint.
Thanks in advance.

Just a guess but a ml would well and truly be out of paint warranty even if it had one

I had work done on paint whilst under normal vehicle warranty, I don't think there is a seperate paint warranty, so 5 years ?
Is the clear coming off ?

Warranty on the ML was 3 years, which could optionally be extended to 5 years. After that only the powertrain was warranted - out to 10 years. To get warranty on paint it would have had to have been noted by a dealer before the 5 year warranty was up.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Not all dealers sell the same stuff mate so you'd need to work out which place yours came from. That said I'm not liking your chances this far into its life.

Would sadly have to agree with CD I think you're way out of luck.

Paint protection often has it's own warranty, but usually it is a joke. I got paint protection for free with mine, the warranty from memory was either 12 months or 2 years and you had to get it 'inspected' once a year (and I think even 'had to' use their protection wax/conditioner etc etc). These products are just a grab for extra dollars so rarely would they allow their contract conditions to end up with them paying thousands to respray cars.
