[quote="viking shippy"]I dropped into my local Mitsubishi at Wyong...my ml has the suspect plug...what they do is pull the blinker stalk plug apart install a fake plug that has grease in it that injects grease into the plug assembly and put the plug back together and send you on your way...I'm booked in a week from now...

In the meantime, carry a good torch and practice your hand turn signaling out the window just in case...

Really ? I saw the grease applicator with my own eyes that's is exactly what the recall is...grease on a corroding plug..
I'm just doing it just in case so I'm covered if it buggers up later on...down the new labour track...

I was never advised of this recall by Mistubishi. I had taken my car down for a service which I aborted having done due to them advising that I'd missed the capped price service window by a few weeks.

I got them to just do the wiper stalk repair and taking my car elsewhere for it's 30000km service.
I find it very slack that I had never been informed of this recall especially since I havent moved address or changed numbers

got my 2 recall notices for my 2006 ML. At my new address with all details correct. Good to see they have ways and means of tracking down multiple owned vehicles, better late than never, just hope my fragmentation grenade does not get to say hello with my wife and little girl in the car before they can change it...

Its weird how the notices come out, first the mn's plug, couple of days later my ml's grenade and now a weak later the ml's plug. Just waiting for the mn's grenade now. Then I can finally go set up the appointments.

I pretty well always drive with sunnies, however, its the bit of shrapnel slicing thru a carotid artery that's the worry.

Just received my indicator recall notice and now I am waiting for the airbag one. I wonder if I will be able to get them to fix my airbag harness fault (roof and floor) as well even tho my warranty ran out in December 2015, as I have been already rejected because it was about 4 months out of warranty but I could always push the point and say are these faults connected. Here's hoping.

Tried to get mitsy to do that during my recent srs airbag light ordeal. The service tech also told me about something to do with the passengers airbag too... but neither were replaced

must be thousands of tritons in newy that need the switch recall fix...earliest I could be booked in was 6th oct....rang up about 3 weeks ago now lol
just out of interest....I have had headlights turn themselves off while driving a few times now. I thought it was the globes but nup. drove home with the foggies on!
seems a little fishy to me and that there is something connected to this recall about the turn signals?

I bought my Triton second hand and got the recall for the cooling system and this latest one by mail. So long as the dealer you bought the car from did the paperwork properly you should get yours too.

I had mine done at a local dealership yesterday and, apparently, in my case nothing needed to be done.
