What were your warranty claims and recall information

oil smell in cabin

have strong oil smell in cabin after putting load on engine "passing truck up hill in third" .2009 3.2 diesel,3000ks on clock,anybody else have this problem,could it be oil from tappet cover breather going into air intake and to turbo.

Has this been the only time?

Have you done a visual inspection around engine and underneath and on exhaust.?

Could it possibly have been coming from the truck you overtook?

If it was passing through exhaust system I wouldn't expect you would be able to smell it until pulling up.

I haven't had any similar experience with mine yet.

happened on three separate occasions always under load checked for oil leaks found none two of those times i was climbing steep hill no other car in site :D

ta mad,missus had the brains to make them write down everthing on the contract so i believe if mitsu doesn't back them up they are in "breach of their contract" .i in all good faith was buying a new car, or so i thought.

you know its stories like this that give the motor industry bad vibes and to have a bad experience like this turns everybody sour, threaten to name and shame and expose the salesman who you dealt with, the sales manager , and the dealer principle at northstar redcliffe to a current affair for malpractice and breach of contract or mtaa because we cant let bad dealers get away with this crap , u signed for a new car not a demo :x

im going to mad, me brother in laws a solicitor,so now its up to northstar and mitsubishi', there should be a name and shame on this forum,so we know who to avoid
