Filled the car tonight and checked the consumption. 802 Kl on 65.13 litres.
I have no complaints at all. It is better than the Nissan Xtrail 2.5 I had before.

WTF 802km for 65lt i would kill for economy like that :o
I bought my 4wd out of NEED not want.

That works out to be 8.12 Lt's / 100 Km or 12.3 Km / Lt if I've worked it out right :o can someone else check if that's correct or not :?:

I've been wondering..some of us have cranked the boost pressure up for more oomph; What if we reduce the boost from normal? Would the economy improve?

If your driving normally sees lots of max boost it would help the economy but if it's a rare occurence then I would think it will make little difference except to limit max power when you need it.
Must say I'm surprised at how the boost is there most of the time. Even at a steady 80kph in 5th it's reading about 1psi
It's also reading 2.6L/100km but that reading is suss because it goes up when you take your foot off the throttle.

disconected T/B today this it what i noticed
BEFORE.
presure release sound out of snorkle that caused a drop in power shows up on the scan gauge as massive boost drop.
scan gauge showed big swings between +&- presures, and also LHK would increse on deceleration on the S/G
plus surging again(boost presure all over the joint when this happens)
AFTER.
All of the above has stoped :D nothing but a smooth build of psi :D
S/G has stoped big swings in LHK still needs a few more tanks to improve tho 0.4 LHK :o
it's now even better to drive then ever
ps. pulled T/B plug after start up and no light was triped :D
I bought my 4wd out of NEED not want.

That's good enough for me with 3 confirmations it wont' spit the dummy if it's disconnected after the start up.
Plus I've got the scan gauge to clear any check engine lights too. Assuming the 2.5 will react the same as the 3.2 and there's no reason it shouldn't with the same hardware fitted.
That's so interesting about the L/100km[LHK] increasing on deceleration because that's a weird thing to happen and it does the same on mine. Let's face it, it's measuring fuel consumed against distance travelled so it must be injecting fuel when the throttle closes for some reason. Not good for consumption or the cat. Yes, mine's shown low boost on closed throttle at times instead of negative pressure!
Can't wait to start it, pull that plug and try it out in the morning!
8-)
Edit-Too hot 39deg!
Tomorrow.

I have been driving now for a month with the throttle butterfly unplugged, My EGR is also blocked. Its like a new machine. Of coarse i clear the code on startup until we get a good solution. But its great really, Its never chucked a limp home mode since. Obviously the limp homes are from too much registered negative inlet manifold vacume when decelerating. :D

What's your fuel consumption been like Alex?
I did go out later on Saturday and pulled the plug after it started. Strangely it felt more together with it connected again on the way back, tighter, more responsive?
The fuel consumption starts off high when it's cold, 17L/100km, then drops to about 3L/100km at 60c engine temp.
With the butterfly unplugged it was reading about 0.3L/100km warmed up. Clearly the scan gauge is not getting that from fuel flow/distance so where does it come from and why the big variations?
