Turbo lag after Hotfix on ML 3.2 D

Gday Guys,
Just got my car back from its 15000km service (ML MY08 Diesel 3.2 Dualcab)
Amongst the regular service items that were done they perfomed the hotfix ML13_003 ECU reflash to fix slight surging between the lower gears.

Now I've read lots of posts in here of you guys getting your cars back driving great after the fix, however mine has come back with a bucket load of turbo lag that it never used to have, and seems to be down on power. No engine light yet but haven't had it out on the highway as of yet.

Before, below 2000 rpm the car was nice to drive, now its terrible. Just feels like no boost at all below 2k rpm.

Anyone had similar experiences?

Sounds like it might be the EGR valve?
That is supposed to open and close up to 2,200rpm and remain closed above that. Perhaps the fix has resulted in that valve opening for longer or it's open all the time up to 2,000rpm and/or the throtltle butterfly is doing it's thing to encourage exhaust into the inlet manifold while limiting the flow from the compressor so limiting the boost?

This is a bit off topic but as this is my first car that has new car warranty how do these hot fixes work.
Do they only do this if you have a problem or you have to ask and they do it for free

So mad, does yours have the latest reflash with the egr plate in or out...

Mine is staying in for the service on friday, Ive requested the reflash..

ok alex, ive ditched the plate and put it all back to stock and yes i got the new ecu software and injector learning that is part of the new 3.2did upgrade and i tell u alex mine breathes better goes harder and im wraped i did tip 1 cup of valvoline 2t in this tank so maybe nar cant be that but who knows i just got sick of having to remove engine check light every couple of weeks

Mine went in today for its 7500km service, with boost turned up and plate installed... I requested the ECU upgrade which they did under warranty, and listed as done so on the invoice...

So far all feels great with what feels like a tad more grunt down low and boost coming earlier...

Lets see if it chucks a limp home now with the EGR blank installed... Time will tell.

mine goes in on monday, had slight surging probs and asked for the reflash so we will see what they do. bring on the extra power.

I had mine in the dealer yesterday getting a few warranty issues looked at. I asked about the reflash and the mechanic believed it had the latest one it... (Picked up Feb 09, 01/09 Comp). Is there something I am missing here?
