How long did they take? One dealer said they needed it for 2 hours!

They did a 90,000 service plus another warranty job as well as the recall. the whole lot took about 5 hours.

I saw their warranty claim for the recall that went to Mitsubishi and the claim was for %65.00 so less than an hour spent on the recall I guess.

They get a really crap rate from MM for warranty work so it could be 2 hours.
How can it be just back each side off a bit and retorque the bolts which would take 5 minutes including a tea break?

Originally i was told that it will be about 10min to do just that, "back them off and re-torque them"
But with my replacements (all 6 bolts) it still only took 30min.....booked in at 4.30pm out by 5.00pm (knock off time!)

Just had mine done, the ute was ready before I had finished the last of my coffee that the service bloke made me. None loose or broken. Local shop hasn't found any with problems so far.

bump.

ok i had my recall work done last friday when i had the diff whine checked.

my wheel alignment was done about 3 weeks ago and after the recall i noticed straight away that it was pulling to the left.

i rang the dealer as soon as i got back to the office with a "no we just re-torqued the buts - it wont effect the alignment".

does anyone know if tightening these nuts would effect the wheel alignment?

turns out those numbers are
It has been established that micro-cracks may have been introduced in the bent portion of the rear axle U-bolt during the manufacturing process. When vehicles fitted with the affected bolts are operated in a high corrosion environment the corrosion developed within these cracks may result in the failure of the u-bolt

so ive got new U bolts

Went to Mitsubishi Toowong the other day to have them look at a leaking shockie and sagging leafs....(I don't know what the fuxx I'm looking at but my buddy and mechanic say they aren't good).
Aaanyways they told me they need to look over my vehicle 2010 GLXR 2.5 for and overheating issue change coolant and radiator cap etc.. So booked her in they done the radiator shit and reckon theres nothing wrong with my suspension.
