Just rang my dealer (Comm Motors ACT) and they aren't aware of it.

Booked in anyway.

My local dealer said wait till official notification from Mits.
Even though its in today for manifolds, suction control valve etc.
staying overnight for new tailshaft tomorrow.

But, they don't want to check ball joints. :?:

you will always have to wait for the official stuff from mitsi. I cant imagine one of my customers telling me they "saw something on the net" and wanted a free check for a warranty recall I knew nothing about. And I reckon mitsi will take the usual 2 weeks to a month to advise all owners

Yeah I agree people jumped the gun on this....can't expect a same day recall based on a news release..

But you guys also need to listen to the customer more...some of us seriously know more about these vehicles than you guys do...either that or it's company policy to be an ornery f*ckwit every time a warranty repair is required....take your pick....

Yeah I wouldn't expect a same day recall based on a news release. Actually I'd expect the dealers to know about it before the news release and to be telling everyone who brought a Triton near the place. Maybe it's silly of me but if there is a potential safety issue isn't that how it should work?
