just wanting to no if anyone has heard if Mitsubishi has fixed the off boost response with the 2.5l MN Triton?

or is the only way to fix the lag is by blocking the EGR and putting a chip it chip in?

keep in mind turbo vehicles have some sort of lag. The EGR block will do nothing to stop this, or reduce it, it will stop soot going into the inlet side of the engine. The chip will help but keep in mind there are many different and great brands out there.

kingy the egr blank does remove SOME of the lag on my 3.2DID but yes its still heavily there.
i did it mainly for the benifits amalinze has outlined. ;)
my auto exagerates the issue... you are manual 8-)

i found winding up the wastegate and replacing the airfilter with an aftermarket filter (i used a K&N but others have unifilter and seem just as good?) helped more.

i think the 2.5 have electronic wastegates so that may not help you...

i dont have a chip... yet.... but just ask Daryn about the difference there

plenty of help to find here just get used to the search link ;)

while helping both lag and filter thread (MN specific and ML same airfilter as MN!)

i hope this keeps it all 'on topic' yeah?'

yes its an oiled type although looks diff (spray can oil) to doing a 2stroke dirt bikes filter but to be honest its so new i havent done a clean yet (only 6K's and havent looked at it since in....) other members may have better info here.... havent seen a dedicated airfilter thread yet ;)

changed over the stock air filter straight away when i bought the truck to a k&N filter, notice a little bit of difference.

also was told when driving on dusting roads to swap back to the stock filter because the K&N filter doesn't filter the dust very well because there designed to let more air in unlike the stock ones.
