Oil & Water mixing

What a disaster...

Utes been in with the dealer since Sept 14th after I noticed oil leaking on the drive. Upon further inspection noticed that oil was everywhere under the hood and that my coolant resevoir was full of oil as well. Had it towed to the dealer (this all happened 3 days before heading up Oodnadatta/Alice/ Uluru) and it's been there ever since sitting in the "too hard basket". Originally was supposed to be 3 weeks, which turned into 5, now they tell me another 3 weeks to get certain parts from Mitsu Japan. Finally they realised it's the oil cooler. Had to squeeze them for a replacement vehicle they gave me a Lancer which, apart from getting me from the shops and back, is largely useless.

Told them I am not waiting another 3 weeks for a single part and to go and rip the same part from one of their own new stock. Told me too much $$$ and too much hassle. Told them to get f*****d I'm not interested in their fairy tales.

Have escalated to Mitsu HQ in SA and Dealer principal.

ML Triton '07 approx 55,000kms all log booked service history.

Absolutely useless service and the last Mitsubishi I will ever own.
Anyone gone through the same BS as this?

Luckily I was able to borrow a mate's 4WD at the last minute so I got the red centre trip done - still pissed me off to no end not doing it in my vehicle.

The most concerning part in this whole saga is that the dealer took 5 weeks to diagnose what the actual problem was.

Left messages with the Service Director and DP - suprise, suprise they haven't returned my calls.

Seems warranty claims don't make the dealer the same sort of $$$$ as other services.

Like I said- the last Mitsubishi this little black duck ever purchases.

That is pathetic really... and one less future sale for mits.. dopes...

If going in and collaring the DP doesn't work, I would call the free roadside assist and have it towed to another dealer.... Making sure mmal customer service is very aware of what is going on..

In reality they could have a oil cooler here much faster than 3 weeks... What is suzy marony swimming it over for them?

//don't worry I always suggest the drastic action..
