Are both Coil & Leaf springs covered under warranty?

Postby IML07 on Fri Apr 01, 2011 9:24 am

For some reason my '07 ML GLX-R Triton like to lean to the left, rolls heavily to the left when turning right/going around bends etc. Obvioulsy it has something to do with the springs? My shocks and struts were replaced Oct last year with Ulitmates and have only travelled a mere 14'000kms, and the a total of 114'300km on the Triton.
Would these springs be covered under warranty?

unlikely mate, but i do believe there is a thread somewhere where a member did get them replaced... mind you, he didn't have 114,000km on the clock...

I asked local dealer when my leaves had collapsed if they would replace. They said yes, no problem and same with shocks if they were found to have failed. At that time I'd only done about 12,000km and was well within warranty time. Didn't take them up on it because they would only replace with genuine Mitsubishi and I could see very regular trips in there to keep getting them done.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

If these are ultimate suspension struts and shocks (ie site sponsor ultimate not a imitation?) they will be covered under warranty 100%. From your post it sounds like you didnt have the rear leaves done? If so ultimate would not have supplied rear shocks as they only do raised height shocks for triton.... same for front...

mmm more info :?
