Did they see you coming Tex? Had mine 2 weeks ago there. $213 including loaner but I supplied oil and filter. :?
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

These are both ridiculously cheap services, I never had any service under $500, it was just about ready for the 105K so will never know.

$213 is what they would charge for kicking the tyres and filling the washer bottle isn't it :)

Just booked my 105K service with Lee from Eagers.

$210 + fuel filter, but at special newtriton parts prices that wont be much 8-) I am supplying oil only.

It's worth noting for anyone thinking of using Eagers to PM Lee directly from here or make sure you ask for him when calling for quotes or to book it in as he must apply the newtriton pricing or you'll get the normal joe blow invoice prices.

Love that service
I hate to advocate drugs, sex, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.

WOW Darren

I've never had a service over $500. refuse to go near any dealer for servicing. Use the guy who does my fleet vehicles for the last 10 odd years. I know I get good pricing from him, ;) , due to the volume of work I send him

Had my 105 service done the other week at Eagers.
I told them to go hard and bugger the cost due to it being a minor service and I like my truck to be in tip top condition.

They did the oils and air filter and both belts (Alternator and air (very cheap less than $30 each ;) )) - worn but still servicable- now have them as spares replaced a blown brake light and wipers

I had them spend a bit of time looking at a limp mode that had developed- so a bit of time on road tests, with and without the chip

Also had them look at the 4wd light coming and going intermintantly and sometimes flashing- did nothing wrong in the service but happened when I got in the vehicle (was able to show Lee and explain when and what happens) sounds like another trip with some new parts being ordered.

All up $500
Very happy 8-)

105k Service

Postby big_bob_thefirst on Fri Jul 06, 2012 8:15 pm

Just finished a service with morphett vale SA.

Good service I thought. Did the normal checks.

257$ labour, oil, wiper blade and reg plate bulb all incl.

They've also offering to replace silencer kit for free and noted that manifold needs replacing. They have to order parts in.

Also offer to machine the front discs which are squeaking. Not sure how much that will cost tho.

So a question, why is my stealer saying I should have the timing belt done at 105k service for which he will relieve me of $700+ (on top of the usual over the top pricing)...I dont see the timing belt mentioned anywhere in the service book. :?

Add this to the $1400 of the 90k service and one becomes a little disillusioned

You say you have a MN diesel and I can tell you the timing belt is due to be changed every 100k km's and it is in the service manual, or at least it is in mine ;)

Looks like the guy above you got the same sorta price.

Looking roughly 350-400 or so for the service, add timing belt and sounds about right.

Don't forget a few of these prices are ml (no timing belt) and supply their own oil.
I'm not so good with the advice  ... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment???
