Top End driving in the dry season will do that. Looks like you have been driving in a convoy for a bit to get that much dust.

Thanks to v8slrtorana, I went out today to the place mentioned above (in the ebay add) to pick up a cabin filter. It's actually only $22.00 in the shop. Bargain!
These guys do all the filters, so he gave me a price list for the bits they do. I guess I'm ok to post these, mods remove it if needed...But here's a few examples:
Oil filter (Z313) $21.00
Fuel filter $23.10
Belt set (1x6PK1495-D, 1x13A0900-B) (not sure what all these are for) $59.00
Timing Belt Kit KTBA281 $425.00

Not sure how cheap some of these things are, but the oil filter is definitely cheaper than what I paid for it last time.

I think that's the same place Har05l recently purchased some oil filters from. Their website looked pretty good too.

Mate, give them a call first. I know the A/C filter was the last one they had in stock. They were getting more in, but best to check if they have your stuff in stock. Their phone number is on the ebay ad.

Thanks Champ,
I spoke to them yesterday re the standard filter kit for my service which they had in stock, I didn't mention the A/C filter at the time, this was more an after thought, mid they are out of stock it's easy enough for me to drop in any day of the week to get it once their stock is replenished,
Cheers anyway

I actually meant in terms of the spike in their sales. Mind you with the number of lurkers on the forum it doesn't take much to cause a sales spike. Think of that poor ebay bloke with the Mazda knobs he'd be sitting there thinking WTF just happened?

Got my spares in the mail today.
No screws supplied. (Didn't ask for them either)

I will add, the Ryco uses better filter material, however price beats quality in this case.

With regards to the black plastic glove box cover. Just near the latch that the glove box door closes onto. There is a plastic plug. Do I just snap this or is there a trick to removing it? (I have removed the 6 screws)

There is genuine instructions a few pages back in this thread that explains how to remove the airbag connector clip.
I was unable to make sense of it, so i reached around the back with pliers and squished in the nipple to pop it off.
If that didn't work i would have resorted to method 3. Snap it off and cable ties

I can't picture it. I didn't have to break anything - except the spot to put the filter in. Are you able to post an image of it so we know which bit you mean?

I broke mine gently trying to pull it out, doesn't really make any difference to the mounting when all 6 screws are in place, I believe you can also trim this cover to save having to remove it next time you want to replace the filter
