Yeah I already did, funny advert that one

I suspect it is the GPS wire, the only one I have not secured properly, it is just coiled behind the double din unit....

Filter arrived today.
Air flow arrow is embossed in the plastic. Mine was upside down compared to the rest of the writing on it. Go figure!

EDIT - just finished the install. Dont think you could get it up the wrong way, as there are 2 holes at one end and 1 at the other. The one with the 2 holes slots into the locator 'pin' to ensure you can only put it in one way.

I did a search on eBay and there are still plenty available from different sellers.

Here is where I got mine from:
http://stores.ebay.com.au/coolcarspareparts/

The filter is for an outlander from memory, but will fit in a Triton.

Air con filter - kit?

To install the filter, the only extra bits you need are 2 screws and a Stanley knife.

No, the tabs look different.
Maybe send the ebay seller who does them a PM to see when they are in stock next?

Fitted up my cabin filter today
I crossed referenced the mitsi cabin element Pt No. MR 398288 using the ryco web site and it spat out there cabin filter no. RCA206C. So ordered it through Autobahn at $40 retail it arrived today, picked it up and in all took about 1/2 hour to install. here are some pics.

Just a quick question, I took my glove box out but noticed there was a black backing plate with about 4 screws behind the glove box. Do you need to remove this to get to aircon unit.

Any why doesn't mitsubishi fit the filter when the car is new??

There's usually a few. Try searches on other Mitsubishi vehicles and it may show up. Also there's a Ryco part number earlier in this thread so an eBay search on that might turn it up.

I did it because I often drive dusty roads with a few other vehicles and i want to try keep all that dust from sticking everything through the system, and the other big reason is I suffer pretty bad hay fever during spring & summer, the filter may stop me having to the air con on recirculate 24/7 during those months.
