Just some info a genuine oil filter from Mitsubishi part shop for a 3.2 or 2.5 is $8 ok this is Thailand, so what the hell all your part's are coming from here so who's ripping off it can't be freight and tax.

We pay too much here, no doubt about it. If we had someone in Thailand to ship them to us we'd soon have quite a trade going on.

Hi all, i bought the Provent 200 from Western filters along with a fuel filter and oil filter last week. I explained to Dave i have the 3.2l ML. The part numbers i have are - Fuel Filter - 1770A053 (WE01-13-ZA5)
Oil Filter - WZ372

Now i understand he's the professional and i should trust him. My concern is, on the invoice it says
WCF104 Fuel filter 2.5 ltr t/diesel.

Does anyone know if 3.2 and 2.5 are the same?

For the record Western Filters supplied incorrectly. They were very apologetic and have now fixed their computer listing.

Correct part numbers for 3.2 ML

Fuel Filter - WCF103 Ryco Part # Z679
Oil Filter - WZ372 Ryco Part # Z372

Okay so I've done a bit of research lately on brakes and thought I might share some of the info I've come across. This seems like the thread to do it in. So as far as I can tell these are the relevant part numbers:

OEM rear drums - MB895470 (not 100% confident of this, but maybe 95% - pretty sure... :? ) I kind of read the part number off a photo on an L200 site in the UK so it's not the most authoritative source... If you google the number though it brings up stuff that suggests it's a match.

If the above is correct then the specs are:
Height : 93.2 mm
Inner Brake Drum Height : 75.8 mm
Diameter : 330.6 mm
Drum Diameter : 270 mm
Center Diameter : 108 mm
Pitch Circle Diameter : 139.7 mm
Num. of holes : 6
Style : Full Cast

OEM rear shoes - 4600A106
Bendix rear shoes - BS5018
Repco re-branded Bendix shoes RBS5018
Protex rear shoes - N3093
Protex rear drum - DRUM4111

OEM front pads - 4605A284
OEM front rotors - ?
EBC ultimax pads - DP1963
Bendix standard pads - DB1774
Bendix HD pads - DB1774HD
Bendix 4wd pads - DB1774/4WD
RDA pads - RDX 2053 SM (extreme/heavy duty/performance pads according to the ebay listing where I found these)
Protex pad - DB3108P
TRW pads - GDB3435

DBA standard rotor - DBA2208
DBA street series gold slotted and drilled - DBA 2208X
DBA 4x4 series slotted rotors - DBA2208SL and SR
DBA 4000 Series Slotted Rotors - DBA42208SL and SR
DBA 4000 Series gold, cross drilled and slotted - 42208XS
RDA slotted rotor - RDA7975 (these also come in plain non-slotted rotors from what I can tell but I couldn't find two different part numbers)
Protex rotor - DR12609

I think RDA may make a replacement drum too but I'm struggling to find that part number. I've left it empty above with a view to filling it in if I ever come across it.

Note that some of the DBA and Bendix products are available from Ultimate in the sponsors area if you're in the market.

I found the triton oil filter 1230a045 crosses to Ryco Z313
or
Baldwin Filters (American) BD28 that retails for $25.20inc
I have used Baldwin in everything I can (mainly tractors and machinery) for around 10 years and reckon they are pretty good.
They dont seem to have a cross for the other filters for my MN yet though

There's a ryco air filter that fits. Obviously there's also a K&N and a unifilter as well - same filters as the ML model which makes things easier. Haven't looked up the fuel filters but will stick with genuine while ever I have warranty left on it.

After ringing out local dealer the filters for the 3.2 came to $213.70 in gst.

The dealer that i'm going to get my 90k service done at quoted $ 188 !

After a ring around I have got the air filter for 34.75 at superchp (with trade discount) the fuel for 41 at Bursons and have ordered the Oil for $38.

Not bad for $114 and the gear is same or better quality.

So I have saved $ 100 with a few phone calls. Basically will work out that I get some of the fluids for free!

Aftermarket FIlters for the 2.5

Bosch Oil filter - OM036 / OF306
bosch fuel filter - DT513 / DF158

the boxes had two sets of product codes so i don't really know which one is used. But i've been using these filters for 2 years now and no problems. Plus they're ridiculously cheaper than the originals

I just bought a Mitsubishi oil filter for my mn glxr and not sure if they've given me the correct filter. Can anyone shed light on part number 1230A114? From memory previous oil filters that I've used were something like 123A045? Has there been a change in part numbers or am I just dreaming?

There was a new fuel filter released recently? Haven't heard of a new oil filter though. Have a quick google though as they often have 4 different numbers for the same thing

Thanks for the quick reply Dave. I'm having some fuel quality issues and have heard about the fuel filter. I think it might be a Challenger oil filter, presumably interchangeable with triton. Will confirm with the dealer tomorrow.

That sucks. $80 on amayama but once it's gone you can't really wait for postage from the uae to get it. Tempting to buy one as a spare.

I have a spare tucked in the tub. I've learnt the hard way and always have a spare in the ute now. Where can I get the $80 one from Dave. I have resorted to Gaffa tape in the past to get out of trouble, and my current hose is stretched as I had to cut 2" off when it last split near the turbo.

I've only used them once but they were pretty bloody good. You tell them what you want and then they send you a price and eta and you decide if you want to go ahead. My particular part came from somewhere in Sydney so I had it in only a day or two. The part was a genuine part though and arrived in the original Mitsubishi wrapper with sticker and all.

They list a lot of parts coming out of the UAE. My best guess on that is that they are connected to partsouq over there which is another impressive website to check out if you ever have a spare day or two.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they did. I chucked the paperwork though. I also paid via PayPal so I got a PayPal receipt as well. They give you a written quotation by email first as well. They didn't seem like a fly by night sort of venture but I guess online appearances can be deceiving.
