45000 Service

Have just changed all my own oil in preparation for my 45000 service which is booked for a couple of weeks time. I do this to save on labour charges etc. Anyway, discovered that the drain plug on the gearbox was not magnetic. I believed that it should be, being manual. Rang the dealer and was told that some are magnetic and some are not. Had to purchase a magnetic plug and put it in myself.

Thx for the heads up Bill, yep u would think they would all be magnetic wouldn't u, I'll be getting one 2 then
