absorbent mat on bash plates????

Postby Spike'sMN on Thu May 08, 2014 10:48 pm

Hey Guys, I've just had the 15k service done today, besides the mechanic draining the oil out of the filter without removing the sump plug  , everything looks good.

I do have one question, is there supposed to be what looks like an absorbent mat of some kind on the standard bash plates?
I've never noticed it before, so I'm not too sure if they put it there to try to clean up all the oil that was spilt or it's always been there.

cheers

If your referring to a foam like sheet on some bits, then yes that is standard for the stock plates.
