15000km service in brisbane. seems a rip off

15k service yesterday at local Mits Dealer.

$320 and included a car wash. (Manual Diesel)

I'm happy.

I supplied my own oil ( Nulon diesel - Supercheap $62 ) and 15k service for $ 140 in South Gippsland.

Considering Oil filter is around $40 its not too bad.

Just a comparison between various services. Our Peugeot Dealer quoted around $ 770 for the 45k service. After a near Cardiac Infarction event I decided to check out Ultratune. The receptionist was hesitant and suggested it was a big service and was listed as a 5hr plus job. After confirmation of the times etc, with the manager she quoted $ 440!

Now one would reckon that the genuine path should be the most economical as they have all the inside guff and tools, etc.

Just had my 15K service done by Mitsubishi Windsor ( now relocated to Newfarm )
Total cost $1044.15
However this included extras such as:
Replace front actuator ( oops damaged on 4wd trip )
Replacement front diff bash plate 3mm thick, replacing the standard .5mm( or whatever it is )
Labour to changeover the above
Balance estimated to undertake 15K service was approximately $413.00
After reading this thread in future i am ringing around.

That is so cheap!
They charged me $59 for the genuine oil filter and it's 1.6 hours labour = $50 per hour

15000klms service done today,$230 , i supplied my own oil, penrite full synthetic , that was $70, so im happy with that and also i got the new upper modified manifold with relocated map sensor ,and a wheel alignment done so all will be ssscchhhweeeettt

Had my 15000 done last month at Motorama Mits. at Hillcrest, cost $237. included oil and filter. After ringing half a dozen others these guys were the cheapest.

Just got my 15,000 service done at Toowong Mitsubishi, they charged me $258 but that was with a $50 discount for completing a survey. Changed oil and filter then checked a heap of stuff. They quotd 90 for wheel alignment/balance and rotate, got that done at Beaureparies for $40.
