Normal for it to be jet black.

Some advise that an oil change at 1500km is a good idea. Your Triton was probably a few months old when you got it. So at 12 month service oil might be 16 months old. Black is normal.

Probably should go the whole hog and replace all lubricants and due your scheduled servicing from this reference point.

That way you can be confident any contaminants from manufacturing and running in are removed and all levels should be to spec.

After the oil changes install the EGR defeat and you should be a happy camper.

Black at 1500 from what should be a pristine start sounds a bit dirty. Do you do a lot of short trips keno?
