Scanner

Postby Ricky on Fri Mar 03, 2017 4:30 pm

G'day everyone.

Just wanted to put it out there that I now have a scanner/computer if anyone needs codes cleared or SQLs done.
This should also do CEL caused by air bags.

Beauty mate. Can you pop around tomorrow morning? I have a persistent code that needs clearing.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Yeah, I have one, too, Pete.

My point was the same as yours. People who don't put their location on their profile make it very difficult to get sensible responses in threads like this.

OP is actually being quite generous, offering to share his gear, but it's useless if no-one knows where he is.

That's great to know. I'm sure that there will be a few Brisbane members that would appreciate the occasional help.

What type of scanner did you get?

Snap on solus pro.
Someone traded it in to get a newer one so I snapped it up at a good price.

Yes NowForThe5th I get the point. No need to carry on like a pork chop.

Lads, ladies.. i can confirm Autel Autolink AL619 OBD2 Auto Diagnostic Scan Tool worked on my 3.2 Triton. Was able to read and clear ABS light.

This little beauty paid for itself on the first job. Showed C1216 code (RL wheel speed sensor). Ordered a new sensor on ebay for 45 bucks, fitted it then went for 10 minute cruise, light went off, then i cleared the stored fault.
A cheaper option than whats out there. Was able to auto scan my ute and pick up the VIN number, can also read SRS as well.

All for $149 bucks off ebay ;)

Theses tools are quite good value for the price - just need a mutt at a decent figure.
