4WD centre diff oil - super select 4WD

Postby Anthony Campbell on Sat Sep 01, 2018 9:59 pm

Hey,

Am i going insane?

Valvoline say the centre diff needs a different oil to the transfer case.

The centre diff is built in to the transfer thus only requiring the transfer oil to be serviced?

Correct?

Thanks, Anthony

Transfer ‘centre diff’ and gear bag (manual) get same oil, a 75-85 if whatever brand you choose.

The front and rear diffs get same oil, 80-90 again your brand of choice.

Speaking of diff oil, would it hurt to run a thicker oil in the rear say a 80/140 for towing or long runs
