Ryco Filters now available - why bother?

Just visited the Ryco website and found they have finally released a fuel and oil filter for the ML diesel.

I called my local REPCO store and local Mitsubishi dealer to get some retail prices and the results were interesting to say the least!

Mitsubishi Oil Filter 1230A046 $41.69
Ryco Oil Filter Z372 $58.00

Ryco Fuel Filter Z679 $117.00

WTFIGO! OEM spare parts cheaper than aftermarket!! The fuel filter is twice the price of Mitsu!!

Why bother even considering the RYCO stuff unless it offers superior filtration.....does anyone know the specifications/filtration performance of these RYCO parts...do they consist of solid gold filtration screens??

Can anyone get some price comparisons from their local Ryco stockists to confirm the high prices that I was quoted?
