Rising oil level

Postby sed8td on Mon May 20, 2019 4:19 pm

I've recently purchased a 2010 mn triton and have noticed the oil level has risen over the 5000ks I've driven it.
Now I'm new to diesels and was after some opinions, in my limited knowledge of diesels, I'm thinking maybe a leaky injector as my other concern was I cannot get any better than 13.2l 100k fuel consumption.
And that's around town, highway is worse which I thought was very weird.

Get it looked at, sed8td. Oil dilution, whether by water or diesel is a bad thing.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

No coolant loss.
So I'm assuming it's diesel. I'll change oil and do a sniff test

And I just remembered, I drop a few hours back from the high country to home with a blown intercooler pipe. So it was over fueling bad.
Hopefully that was my problem.
I'll change oil and keep track of level.
