Maybe we should form a group to find and negotiate with a decent workshop for a fair deal?
That way we can kick arse and get listened to if anyone has a complaint because they have a lot to lose if we all go elsewhere?
After listening to all this and having had my 1500km freebie at Wanneroo Mitsubishi I'm not keen to go back there and am seriously contemplating doing it myself rather than have them F it up and charge me for it too.
Would also be good to specify which oil we want or even better, supply it.

I thought it was only the roadside assist you lose Eelsey if you service it yourself?
You can sit there complaining, or you can knit me some seat belts.

Yes as far as I know, if you use a mechanic you still retain warranty (they stamp your book) but you may lose your roadside assist if not serviced at least once a year by Mits (not sure of this exact time - once a year I believe).

If you service it yourself, you lose the lot.....apparently
I hate to advocate drugs, sex, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.

I'll second that Homer but they can write their details in the book, a stamp looks better though.
Mitsubishi also would like is to use genuine parts but apparently non genuine can be used as long as the spec is the same or exceeds that of genuine. I can't find a non genuine oil filter for the 2.5. It looks the same as the 3.2 but the part number is different. $58 genuine so I might buy one and then match it with a higher spec aftermarket like Ryco.
There are a few fiddly parts with diagnostic tools and the fuel injector supply pipe that would have to be done properly and that's where another workshop/mechanic might cut corners and threaten the warranty?
Difficult isn't it? I just wish a Miitsubishi dealer would do it properly at a fair price without damaging the vehicle.
