3.2L 4M41 DiD 100k servicing

Postby venum on Fri Oct 21, 2011 11:30 am

Good Day All,

Great info around these parts

I have a 2007 KB8 L200 Sportero

not nearly fitted with all the great stuff you guys get down under, but she's a great truck and works well.

She is doing 92,xxx km and approaching the 100,000km

I want to know what are the expected service items at this mileage

I do a fair amount of work on the truck myself, so I can handle the stuff like power steering fluid, brakes and diff and transfer case fluids.

auto tranny fluid has been changed recently at 85,000km

what engine work is needed and what are the parts required for the 100k service

Our service intervals are every 15,000kms in Australia so I guess a 100,000 service doesn't compute.

i think maybe valve adjustment and major fluid changes would be due for sure ;)

valve adjustment - noted

already did the major fluid changes except coolant

mostly concerned about engine servicing

what needs to be done with the timing chain, balance shaft seals etc?

Timing chain is a life time component, unless there is a problem, leave it alone.

Engine oil and filter, Fuel filter, air filter, Coolant, Brake fluid.

They are prob all that is left if you have done the diffs, Transmission and transfer case oils.
