Melba, from memory the OEM inlet pipe comes off and leaves a plastic flange on the airbox which you cut/snap off. Then the new flange can be riveted/sikaflexed on.

thanks tex, I was thinking that mite be the case, if I was at work cutting pops off duct I wouldn't think twice, the truck however scares me.

Anyone know why u need a 16mm hole when the bolts are only 8 or so mm

Hey Guys, I'm finally getting around to installing the snorkel this saturday :D . Any melbourne members are more than welcome to come over and have a catch up, so far Dan is coming.

Now i do warn you, no playing with the dune buggy or ride on esky until some progress has been made......

However the vb vending machine will be dispencing :lol: btw Dan the vegimite spit will be turning.
If anyone is interested let me know....

Would anyone have a nutsert tool we could borrow, I thought I'd try it for the pillar bracket or would the rivets be sufficient

They used those self drilling screws with the dome head on my safari one.

hey rats, that would be great if you can drop in, I'll be there all day mucking around with the triton and i think dan has to leave around 4ish, so any time is fine. I'm normally in the garage by 9 on weekends, let me know roughly the time as I can organise to have the spit ready, other wise dan will devour it ;) and I'll grab some nutserts from bunnings

If ya can't find nutserts at bunnings, give me a shout, I can grab them from ftg bolts on my way home from work. I'll prob drop by 11ish and just go from there! Roast lunch! Can't wait!!!

Bunnings won't have them but I know masters have them but you will get a better price from FTG bolts.melba pm your address to me mate so I know were I'm going.
