finally finished the winch install on the weekend. electrics all sorted out, had to mount the control box on the bullbar (which i was hoping to avoid) but still... all working ok! and just managed to finish in time to avoid the storm!! Think i'll be buying myself some of that dyneema rope... the wire cable is horrible!!

What kind-brand of winch do you have installed? I never saw that kind of roller fairlead

That's an ALDI brand winch and fairlead.

yep thats an ALDI Winch and fairlead (which i believe are rebranded ironman winches) seems to work ok, but hope to test it out this weekend!

got my new sliders on last weekend! (Thanks to SRB for the buy!) they look a treat!


however, they did come at a price! - turns out the spanner won!


but the truck's almost complete now! i think it's time to go out and get muddy this weekend!!!!

Finally bolted the 2nd battery up under the tub last weekend, same with the compressor. Still need to run the electrics to a fuse box in the tray, then setup a few relays to the switches in the cab... But we can't rush these things!! need to do a little water proofing too!
