Sunshine's Work in Progress

Introducing Duck!!

I haven't done a whole lot to my Black ML GLX-R Dual Cab Diesel. The last few photos are of some of the damage I've got to my tub. Part of the reason I joined this Forum was to get some help on the different options available. So as said...a work in progress.

This is how she looked when I found her...

After two years, not much has changed but a few additions:

New Muddies:

New Pioneer MP3/CD player with iPod integration via the glove box (means I can keep my old iPod plugged in and don't have to worry about it. The system charges the iPod at the same time):

The negatives of living next to a mine...(like I needed any more):

Damaged caused by roof collapsing during a storm:

And the damage I caused after 7 nights straight (way to tired to look behind )

And the damage caused when a fence jumped out at me...(long story):

Last few pictures are the reason the Panel Beaters have quoted me $2500 to fix it and the insurance company wants me to pay 3x$500 excess for each incident

Wanting to get the Sports Bar and Bull Bar powder coated Black and also get a spray on liner for the tub. Need some seat covers and would love to look in to all the suspension (Ultimate Suspension).

Haven't done any hard core 4WD's but would like to.

Hope this isn't to long a intro

Nice work sunshine. Those fences that jump out are nasty buggers, they've brought a few Triton drivers unstuck I reckon. Good call on the choice of muddies too.

Ha, yeah good idea...can I bubble wrap her?!

Um it's called fallout damage, its caused from the sulfur from the mine stacks. When the wind blows it comes over the city and damages your car. Thinking it's also bad due to the thin paint on the Triton's. I wash my car every week and try to park it under cover, but still does damage.

Mmm, XStrata Mines has a 'Fallout' Claim form that I've put in. They do 'inspections' every year, and if they decide that it's fallout damage, they pay you 10% of the market value of your car. But even if you get this, you still gotta get your car resprayed, so there goes the $$$$

I like a shiny black car. 8-)
Keeping it that way is nit for me though.
You should find a tub at a reasonable price off EBay. ;)
And that roof  at least you may get some compensation for the damage.....but whats it doing to your lungs
