Caught up with him recently (got my draw off him week before the high country trip Dan) and he is doing some R&D into how to produce them more economically.
If he has put that Facebook site together now then it would be safe to say that he is close :D :D

Defo one of the nicest trays I've seen on a triton, the way it follows the line of the cab making it recogniseable as a truly custom tray for triton is great.

If you live in Cairns, Norweld will make you one for $5500 out of aluminum. I went and spoke to them about it on Monday ;)

They also have this design for cheaper:

Their website: http://norweld.com.au/heavy-duty-alloy- ... alia-wide/

Sorry I dont know how to make the images smaller

I went down and spoke with Brett, was going to keep this my little secret but he still has homers old tray. If I can sell what I have, I will buy it and have him re finish and powder coat it silver. Went and had a look at it, looks good!!!
I got the hint he isn't that interested in making them as the profit just isn't there and the hassle that comes with them is a pain.
He did mention he might have his for sale soon too with a new replacement on his.

Yeah it was a lot of hard work custom making them and he didn't seem set up to cut stuff on jigs or have much pre-made so there's a lot of labour in them.

I helped put the tray on..

Twice

The fuel filler had a new piece of fuel grade pipe put on to mate with the attachment integrated on tray.

As for the dimensions can't help there. It's long. And inside the chassis rails wide. Uses up all that space. Full size hilift lies in it with room to spare lengthwise.. Slides around.
Is very handy space for cv's and recovery gear on trips.

If you can talk him into coming down where all our cars were stranded. Bum

thanks for that geek, do you remember what the go was with extra pipe ?
was it to make it longer or to make it easier to mount?

Hi guys, love the tray at the beginning, good to see a truly custome tray for a triton that looks awesome, inspires me to have a go. The more I look at this site the more I like it.

Hay mate, sorry about the delay, forgot my offer!
Anyway,
Tray 850x1150, leaving a 850x250 x250 deep box against the headboard which is where I have my compressor.
Centre of rear wheel to tray deck is 700, I have a 40mm lift.
The fuel filler is indeed a fabricated part of the tray.Click to view larger picture
Let me if you need anything else, cheers!

Looks good mate, Do you remember how much you paid to get it powder coated? Was powder-coating the only option for you or did you consider getting it sprayed?
