Went on their website and put in a "request a quote". Been waiting a few days for a reply and getting quite excited to hear back from them. As soon as our wedding is over, I'm getting one :D providing shipping it to WA isn't too expensive!

I too sent a request for a quote through - maybe week or so ago. Probably wait until the end of this week to chase them up if I haven't already heard back.

Got the quote/brochure back. Slightly more expensive than I was hoping :( but i guess that's what it's going to cost for fine craftsmanship!!!

Finally got my Tray from Brett at Just Powdercoating fitted. w00t!!
Looks Fan-Freakin-Tastic !! Brett went the extra mile for me with some special requests and then shipped it up to me.
I posted some pics in my Shed, have a look and let me know what you think.
http://www.newtriton.net/myshed.php?view=1&id=1624

Everything I hoped it would be - Some minor improvements to some that I have seen, eg - had some tie down points fitted internally and had all of the locks re-barrelled to a unique key. The canopy frame is fitted, I still have to get that made though.

Tray was fitted for me by Lewis from Jonlin Automotive in Cooparoo. AWESOME PEOPLE! I am useless at the vehicle work so Lewis does all of my mods for me. He and his father John are big supporters of the 4WD Community.

Materials, Welding, Powdercoating, and workmanship were all Top Notch. Only one negative which is in the process of being addressed. A small Part of a full size license plate is obstructed from view when mounted to the area available for it. Brett is onto it though and is making me a new powder coated mounting plate and mailing it up to me. It will be standard in the new ones I believe.

It is a fairly costly upgrade but I believe that the increased practicality, and quality unit are easily worth it.
They tray is certainly getting some comments from the triton community. The finished look is unreal. It easily looks like it was part of the original vehicle design.

If your thinking about getting one and your in the Brisbane area, Email me, come and have a look for yourself.

cheers

Very nice Norm!!!
I had to mount my smaller number plate lower so it wasn't obstructed,
Interested to see the new version when it arrives.

Yeah Lewis is a top bloke, even if he does drive a pootrol. You Queenslanders are awfully spoiled.

My e-mail is craig_diane@iprimus.com.au (there's an 'underscore' between the 'craig' & the 'diane' in case it doesn't show up).

Just looking around the internet and saw these, some testers from when your tray was being made I guess homer
I know we've seen it before but looks strange on the wrong coloured vehicle. :D

It could even be Homer's old tray (not that I've compared). He ran into some rust issues with trips to Fraser etc and the bloke actually swapped him for a new replacement and took the white one back (which was a pretty good solution for Homer IMO).

That would be where I got them from ;)

Wow that is good service CD! Does anyone know if just powder coating are still doing trays? Thought I had read that Brett decided not to do them? Was going to call tomorrow.

Yeah there was a post ages ago saying they'd stopped doing them but it can't hurt to ask.

On the service level - Brett even drove to Sydney to meet Homer halfway and helped swap them over.

Yes Brett's service was second to none.

I was speaking to him and he was entertaining the idea of doing them as different kits - that is tray only, rear bar, drawers etc to make it more affordable and saleable to people with different requirements.

Hope he does as they are a brilliant product :D 8-)
