Looks like the roll bar and the top of the xrox worked a bit like the ROP systems on the mine cars. 8-)

Seen these things crumble much worse than that with potentially lower impact rolls.
I hate to advocate drugs, sex, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.

There was someone posting just today that wanted a snorkel head like that one. Too late now I guess.

Tom B wrote:Well it was hardly a secret but it was booked into buds for a sas next year, so I might just start with a solid axle this time round, thinking gu ute, 4 link the rear and use a 233 diff instead of that monstrosity h260, then lock it, lift it, cage it and buy a wagon to tow it to tuff truck lol

You don't think a Lancer might be a better option??

No offence mate but 2 roll overs in a year :o
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything important, it's too late to stop reading it.

Well I get to drive a barina around for the meantime lol

It won't stop me, 4bys are my hobby.
I will say I have a new kind of respect for the sport.

The new truck will be set up more for camping and towing, already planning an open class buggy for the tracks

Well after a hectic few months its all starting to settle down back to normal.
Firstly the Triton sold at auction as a stat write off for $4800 + fees, so sorry to those that were asking about parts. Only really lost the lockers and tray as not much left was salvageable.

Now I know it's not a Triton but I've finally got that solid axle I was chasing, it's a 2000 model zd30 patrol wagon with a twist!! Under the bonnet is the dirty big 4.2 from a 2001 ute, and it has been chopped into one of the nicest extra cabs I've seen but I'll let the pictures show that.

Haven't had it on the tracks yet but I hear it goes alright, enough to keep all 4 wheels on the ground I hope.

So if you see me out and about give me a wave, I promise I won't be one of "those" patrol drivers, after all I know just how well the tritons hold their own!!

When I seen ZD30, all I read was BANG!. Then when I read 4.2, my mouth dropped and I fell in love. Thats a very very tidy looking ute. I'm a tad jealous. How many ks the motor done???

I had a 3L and hated it. Your motor is still good for another 300k+ then. Was there much price difference between your insurance payout and this??? If you dont mind me asking.
