Hi Guys,

Here is my '13 GLXR in Charcoal.
Picked it up Mid March '13 and got a ripper price.
This is my first 4x4/new car, so i'm pretty pumped. Its my daily/work/weekend car.. so its going to be pretty tame compared to others around on this site.
Im based in SE Melb.

Cars got (ATM):
factory diff lock
AT3's
bonnet and lamp protectors
mud mats
and neoprene seat covers (waiting on back order)

Plans to come:
Arb Rear Bar (towbar) - installing this weekend
Tinting front windows - going on tomorrow
Basic rearview camera - Cost $58 to be installed
Tub liner - Need idea's boys?!?!?!??
recovery gear...
Canopy
Bullbar w/lights
dual batterys

Other than that. so far the car seems great!
Need help finding supplier for parts, i hope you can point me in the right direction with everything else

Great job chooka Good choice of tyres, Don't know how that ballon will go offraod but looks cool There is an answer for anything that you are looking for in here. Tub liner I like the Rhino spray on but there are a few to choose from, make the search bar your friend.

I have an under lip tray liner that works well with my canopy.

I have a spray in tub liner from the stealer which I love. Haven't scratched through it anywhere and just use a rubber mat for grip.

the first thing i recommend-

Ultimate suspension upgrade!!!
I'm awaiting my order 2" med/duty front and heavy duty rear- Hopefully tomorrow (LACHLAN PLEASE!!!!)

Other than that- get whatever your heart desires!!!! It is your new toy!!

I put DBA T2 slotted disc on front, dont think rear drums work at all, and front warped out...

I like that they've sorted out the aerial! looks much better in the middle of the bonnet then all bent up on the A pillar!

Depending on how you plan on using your tub, you might want to look at a BedRug tub liner. I recently installed one in my new GLR and its the best thing since sliced bread. I'll never go back to a hard, drop in liner again.

Welcome! Firstly I would highly recommend the spray on tub liner over an insert one! If I ever get around to it I will change mine over.

Nice truck. I'll second the the BedRug tub liner. We recently fitted one to our new GLX and did a ten day trip over Easter and it is excellent.

Had the car just over 6 weeks, and she has 4500km on it now, and its a totally different car now! Its settled down; handles better, drives better and tows really well. Been on 2 weekends away and shes done everything very easily.

So, what i need/want: (in order)
Canopy
dual batt's
bullbar
bashplates...

Will keep you posted with my cheap as chips rear view camera install.

Definitely move bash plates up the list if going off road anywhere half decent.

Once you have the bar work and canopy sorted you will be looking at suspension

Right boys, I'm back and time for a update.
I've been working on my bike for the past month, after i binned it at the track and that pretty much sucked me wallet dry..


So;
Yesterday went something like this;

Trevor the salesman at Flexiglass HQ was brilliant. He never mislead me with the quoted timeframe. He originally said it would be a 8week wait for the canopy, plus 3 for fitting and i was happy with that because he wanted my sale and gave me a ripper deal to match. Anyway, 2 days later he rings up again and said he booked me in for a install for 3weeks time.. haha brilliant. good price, good canopy (time will tell...)

- Purchased ProRack roof racks from SCA today. good price - i'm happy
- Camera to be fitted ASAP

- I'm looking at the ADR sidewinder dual battery setup. Prob purchase that in the coming weeks.
- Going to get some LED strip lighting for the Canopy, it needs more light.

Other than that, its a waiting game with time and having no daylight here in melb.

Bloody glad i got the canopy on now...

Need a favour off you anyway;
I've got a gen. mitsu. under rail tub liner coming and i'm planning on doing something similar like your tub setup with how you've got your battery locked away in the ply.

I plan to box out one side of the tub to house the battery and that's about it - but how do you 'screw' the box down? i've seen you've used the bolts on the tub floor..?? do i use a selftapper into the side of the tub?

any help would be a great assistance!! (From anyone!)

updates;
- Rear view camera is in. will post pics once other installs are done.
- Roof racks are on - looking for a single rack for canopy???? no one seems to do them...? (BS!)
- Gen. under rail tub liner coming early next week
- Dual batt set up to go in once tub liner is in
- Ply it up like mentioned above
- 2 x 27w led reverse ( or camping) lights to mount on the rear bar - switchable off dual batt.
- 5m of led strip lighting to add here, there, everywhere in the canopy - i'll make some camping lights from left overs
- 100ah sla battery is here yay

There are some existing nuts under the tub. 3 either side towards the rear corners. They're a metric thread - M8 maybe, can't recall off the top of my head. So you can use those spots if you don't want to drill but you'd have to put a hole in your liner to get to them I suppose. There's a couple across the front as well. Careful though because some of them help hold the tub on so keep that in mind if removing screws...

Just found site today and am new Triton owner looking for tray protection solution (as well as canopy). The Bedrug is of interest as will be used just a tour vehicle. How solid is the rug when installed? Say you put 2 sets of golf clubs in back you need to push then in a bit and then drag them out to some extent. Will the hold of velcro be sufficient to hold rug in place under like circumstances.

I have only put the velcro across the front top and on the tailgate of our BedRug and it doesn't move. The tie downs help hold it in place also.

So, after a couple of quiet weeks, i've managed to do some things to the rig;

Camera;


The screen looks average from this angle but its actually quiet brillint. nearly HD!? for $50 its the best invest yet on the rig!! If you're thinking that the camera location is terrible, its central, didn't involve cutting and when i need to change a wheel i just un-do the screw on the back and its out (10sec) job.

Dual Batt;

My 5min MDF box.

I need to get some ply because the mdf wont last long and its all i had lying around.
I'm running the ABR sidewinder set up. Brought it from his website as a kit, it was missing some lugs but nothing major. Works great and now i have a great base for future lights etcc..
The Battery is an ebay job. 100aH and it weighs a tonne!!!

Recently i have purchased some of S/Steel bash plates from a Forum sponsor. So when its not wet here in Melb, i'll get under and chuck them on. You can see them in the photos with the dual batt..

Right now, i'm extremely happy with the rig.

After being dormant for the past couple of months due to my other toys taking up my time, i'm back in the game.

Recently fitted a Roo Systems awning to Tri. Haven't used it yet got a new job, although the OT pays for the mods, it leaves me with no time to scratch myself

Also, picked up a nudge bar for next to nothing and brought some FYRLYT lights for the front. Got them thursday, and bolted them on this weekend. In a couple of weeks i'll wire them in...

So I need help;
Went out bush bashing last week and the rear bar copped a hiding! So i'm thinking of the 2" ultimate lift. Need the boys from Melbourne to point me in the right direction of a recommended installer SE or in the city...?
With the lift, my 245/70 are going to look very small. However they are 25k old and i'm not willing to ditch them just yet. maybe a second set of steelies??

Also, looking at a UHF (http://www.prestigecom.net.au/Uniden-UH ... tenna-Pack). opinons?
I want this truck to be a tourer, thats the plan.

Would love feedback and opinions on which way i should head.

- Roo systems winch
- Uniden UH8080 uhf
- Side Awning with led strip lighting
- Piranha fridge slide for my new engel 40ltr - Re built the shitty mdf boxing out the back, with ply which is now carpeted.

Not much left to do now. Just need to work out a better reversing light and i'm set.
