Mudme's 2012 glr build

so i took delivery on dec 27 2012 and she was a stock glr gunmetal grey in colour with a tub liner, and so far since then i have had the windows tinted,put in a scanguage and fitted a tjm battery tray with a optima yellow top as my second battery which i had from my previous 4x4 and a ctek isolater, next thing to do is order my rear bar from mcc

trip away as soon as i got it

i made a plate that bolts to the side of the tjm tray out of a peice of gal plate i had and secured the ctek to that it all semd fairly solid

Looking like a good start to the build :D Have been thinking about dual battery just for the boy scout in me :lol:

Just be sure to check and adjust the nuts after a few weeks, especially if you drag your ass. Have seen a damaged tailgate with the mcc bar due to not checking ;)

Mudme,

What sort of brackets did your awning come with and how did you modify them to fit to the racks? I've got a set of Thule racks and I'm chasing ideas on the best way to mount it without making it look tacky. A few photos of your if you don't mind thanks mate.

My racks are the rhino vortex track mounts and I used the rhino universal awning kit, much stronger brackets than what the awning came with. It was a straight bolt up, I'll get some pics tomorrow for you

Don't know how muck,they are normally but I paid 1400 as it was a leftover in this color

Thats a great pick up. When i was looking for one 18 months ago they were asking around $3200 fitted. I paid 1500 for my second hand one :shock:
