Baito's mn dual cab

Postby baito on Sun May 26, 2013 8:03 pm

Here we go, might as well start a build thread to kill some time, bought a mn dual cab glx at the end of April for 29990, and am slowly adding some fruit. Today I fitted my arb delux winch bar, still to have a ironman 9000 P winch put in( I ran out of time)

Massive job, took over 5 hours on the shitty drizzle that is kinglake weather, will hopefully do the winch in next couple of weeks.
Also have a set of arb brush bars and steps to go on ASAP, but wait till I do the winch so I don't have to unbolt em again.
Currently building a dual battery tray for under the bonnet, which should be done in the next couple of days, then some bigger tyres and a canvas canopy for the tub. I would love a Tray but can't afford it at the moment

I'll add more pics as I go

Baito,

I will be picking up my new MN GLX this afternoon. At $29,990, got them down a little more on this price with some extras thrown in (end of month figures must have been down), I couldn't pass it up. I also went the white and will be watching yours and Dunga's builds with a keen interest.

extras being added in the next week:
- Canopy
- ARB Deluxe B/Bar colour coded
- ARB rear step colour coded
- Safari snorkel

I will post a picture of the blank canvas this PM... if I am not getting it dirty first.
Hope all goes well. :D

Looking good.

I have the GLX dual manual cab too, bought April last year.
Wife loves the traddie white (not). :o)

Sounds like you are getting the updates done quicker than I have.

Yeah they are shit hot hey, I see your build is coming on nicely, I still need to fit my winch lights and sidesteps, but going away this weekend maiden voyage towing the camper, think it will pull it a bit easier than the old 2.7 petty hilux lol

Took the triton on its first hunting trip to s.a last week, went really good, getting around 8.5-9 l per 100 on the trip over with four blokes and all our gear, which is pretty good I reckon. Plenty of room inside but could have used more space in the tub, so will be starting a canopy build soon. Click to view larger picture

Good stuff Baito, I ended up putting the UHF speaker under the passenger seat and the head unit between the gear stick and the dash in the coin tray :D
Good time of the year to be out and about now ;)
