My Rig

Postby mattharding on Sat Jun 21, 2014 3:13 pm

Hey guys only had the truck two weeks now, but slowly starting to take shape.

After 150kms on the clock took the original HT tyres off and got a set of Maxxis AT980 265/65/R17 they look so much better.

Last night and today fitted Ultimate 2" rear lift and wow what a difference, makes it look heaps better.

Canopy goes on next week and then start building set of draws.

Nice work :D The original tyres would still have those little rubber tags on them
Look forward to what sounds like a fast build thread.

Stewart,
The stock suspension was crap, and made worse when I put my boat behind and made the rear drop even further.
The ride now is more re fined not being bumped about just a great ride.

Yeah Duck the tyres still have the knobblies on them going to either use them on a work navara or just flog them off.

Sell them off mate :) Good for nothing but burnouts & you can then spend the money on other things that you don't need but want :D

Finally home from holidays and got a bit of time to post some pics of the rig.

Before leaving I had Ironman Winch Bar and Ironman Long range tank fitted. Was planning to do both myself but just happened to fall off a ladder at work and fracture my pelvis which meant rest of a while.

Brendan,

very happy with the suspension, except the bloody drivers side squeaking but everyone has this from reading!!

Handled the camper weight well and made the car so much better to drive.

Changed the rear diff oil today. Not sure what crap Mitsi put in it but after 9000kms shes crap. Put some morris oil in and will change again in a few thousand too see what it looks like.
Hope to get around to front diff and engine oil tomorrow.
