Awesome stuff mate.
Was going to mention, all you need now is to modify the plough on the back the same way Brett has done.
Would be keen to see how the canvas frame goes together, love to add one to mine!
Cheers, Steve.

Haven't updated things in a while but there's always a bit going on. Knocked up this 2nd battery tray a few months ago to mount at the rear underneath they tray after deciding on going against an under bonnet install because of space limitations.

I used as century deep cycle N70ZZL its a 100ah and have re-wired all the accessories except the winch to run off the rear battery.

At the same time I added a 6 way fuse block in the tray and 2 12v sockets.

Finally got around to giving the towabar the chop as well! looks much better IMO

Once the power was in the rear I decided to put a rigid LED light in the canopy and some rear LED's on the roof rack. The canopy light I got off ebay for $15 and the rear lights are the Illuminator LED's from 4WD supa centre, I was surprised at how good they are given the price of $49 for the pair.

In amongst all this I did away with the crappy factory triton seats for a pair of VE commodore SV6 seats that I picked up for $150 off gumtree. They're in as new condition and both have lumbar support and the factory trim is almost identical. The drivers one is electric up and down and tilt. Here is a pic of the new one next to the factory one for comparison.

The install was relatively easy, I just cut the commodore mounts of the rails, cut the triton mounts off the old seats, bolted the mounts down and then sat the new seats in and tack them to the old mounts. Its sounds easy but there was a bit of stuffing around as the commodore seats are a tad wider.

A photo of where I mounted the switches for the rear lights and tray lighting. They're the narva rocker style ones that clip together so you can widen the bank if necessary.

That looks very tidy mate. Do you find your knee goes anywhere near them?

That's what has stopped me going over there with mine.

Im only 5/10" mate and I don't have any trouble but I think if you were really tall you might bump them when you're out on the tracks.

Hey mate
Quick question, what did you do underneath the tray for mounting? Did you do the c-channel like the powdercoating one?
Cheers
Tray looks awesome by the way

I was going to put a set there but at 6'4" I thought it may be a problem. Nice work.

Last break I finally got around to knocking up my dual rear wheel carrier that mounts up under the tray to the main chassis runners. It's made of 75x50x3mm RHS and 50x50x3mm SHS with 6mm plate gussets.

I bought the 40mm solid stub axles and hub kits and heavy duty over centre latches off ebay. The hubs need to be welded to your tubing before pressing in the bearing collars otherwise the heat will destroy them. Also a good idea to let everything cool naturally to prevent any distortion.

Test fit before it was painted. When they're swung out you can gain easy access to the drawer still and it's opens and closes without and issues.

I had it powder coated satin black to match the tray. Looks like I'll need to relocate the lights and the number plate onto the bar somewhere. I'm happy with how it came up though and it works a treat.

This looks awesome 8-) Good Job!

I've been thinking of making my own rear bar for the Jeep with a swing-a-way carrier fairly similar to yours, save some dollars 8-)
