Nice work.

At 1:29min in the first video the rear was stuck on a ledge. Next time your out and it happens apply some hand brake.

It will clamp the spinning wheel and the torque transfer will get you up n over.

;)

Yeah I gave that little trick a go when it first happened. I think the issue was the wheel was slightly wedged to the inside of the tub and the other side was just in the air. So I had to throw a rock or two down haha

So I've done a little bit of research and im thinking about replacing my 2" extended shackles with some 2" Progressive/Double shackles. I've read the post on here, but has anyone decided to run them yet?

Today I also removed the pod filter and intake pipe and replaced it with the air box. Exhaust still gives the turbo a reasonable whistle and dump! Looking at getting a K&N filter now, or possibly look at finding a Ralliart snorkel and making it work with an Apollo filter ;)

Did you do drawings of the turbo charge you made up?

The turbo charge pipe? Or the Air intake pipe for the turbo?

Turbo to intercooler.
these seem to blow around the 120k mark.
biggibbo got 75k out of one
Har05l got over 150k

Drawings would be awesome

I don't have any drawings but it was pretty simple with 3x45degree elbows welded together the same style as the rubber one. Then 2xsilicone joiners and heavy duty clamps

So finally got my hands on a Chip It unit and threw it in on the weekend. Its currently on tune 5, little bit of black smoke on full boost and the od little flat spot. Needs to go down one tune maybe then she'll be apples!
The only thing that's got me stumped is, before the chip I was running 22.7psi and now it pulls so much harder with the chip and is only pulling 19.8 - 20psi??

How are you measuring the boost? The chipit lies to the ECU to tell it a lower boost figure than the real number so if you're reading it via the OBD somehow you're seeing the lower incorrect figure and you're probably actually getting more boost than you had before, just the ECU doesn't know it.

If you have a boost gauge instead then I've got nothing.

Ahh fair enough, I get you. Yeah i was just going off the Scangauge.
I'd like to see what I'm actually pulling. Should be going on the dyne in a couple of weeks, so that should be good

As CD posted get yourself a boost gauge and T it into the MAP line.
IMO tuning with chips is bit of a dark art. You really want a boost gauge and exhaust pyro to keep an eye on things.

When I had the Chip IT even on tune 5 I was getting EGT's up around the 650 degree mark and above
Apparently they're good for it though at times I was nervous.

Just a few railway sleeper cut offs

Yeah mate just removed the bottom part, it just unclips. The whole body lift was easy, 3.5hrs by myself for a first time.
