That flimsy condensor does get in the way at times. No flex on driver side limits moving it too far without evacuating the refrigerant.
Did you replace seals while in there? Biggest mistake I ever made... Around 5k after belt change spat the balance shaft seal.

I cant see any bling on the driver side? Still have the same charge pipe?

Lets hope your fuel usage improves.

Have you got some more details on where you bought that well priced kit?

Mine is up for the same gear and I've been dreading the price.

tony no i didnt do the seals as they still good and the car only done 60k so they should last a while yet
and yes there is bling on the charge pipe lets see the sucker blow of now lol
and hopefully the fuel usage changes or it is injector time

kit bought from here dave

yer dam happy with the service and the parts all fitted great no problems at all
only problem was me and that dam ac condensor lol but all good no had it regased today and all seems to be running great

no the empty this tank of fuel and let the testing begin
i still think i need the other injectors in there as im now getting 49 in the front injector and 23,26 in the middle two and number 4 is now 55ms feedback time so mmm got me stuffed was number 1 and 2 with old pump now new pump relearn and sql it is number 1 and 4 injectors ggggrrrr cars lol

anyhow i will get them cleaned and tested new year and fit them and we see what happens then....

the chrome pipes seen the goods fitted well and had all parts needed to make the job easy
the charge hose now a steel tube is a tight fit not much room on the ends between the intercooler and turbo so the little joiner hose's havent got much room to expand or move seems like a goot idea they copped 24psi and no problems no movement at all happy camper...

all with out hair spray ...

also the pipe to the throttle body has a pipe outlet for a boost gauge if needed before the body
dont know if it would be anygood there but it is blocked off for now as you can see the little blue cap in the picky

so it has been a week and a bit as per this time of year i haven't driven the car much to much work to do lol
but on first impressions the car seems to idle and run smoother :D
as well as the annoying light throttle about 2200 rpms i would get a little bit of injector rattle and slight tacho jumping 50 to 100 rpms :x
but now that has all gone and running great im driving it tomorrow to pick up the outlaws so i will see how it is going week or so later... 8-)

ok so i just asked wifey about car she just filled it up yesterday lets see what the fuel usage is now...
but im still liking the idea of injectors cleaned and flowed but i might be doing a twist to them with tonys help lol i will let you know later hehehehe

ok so yer that S**t box patrol has goon and now i can get my own car in my garage lol
after a nother 2 have been in there before mine lol
this word of mouth thing is killing me lol

ok so next installment was those dam injectors
and the injector part wasnt so bad it was thos F**King 3 bolts at the back of the manifold and tappet cover
you will know what i mean if you have done this crazy stupid setup WTF have studs back there FFS
but all coded up and just need to do the sql after i take it for a run and see if im making oil ??? lol
then i can have a nuff heat in the tranny to do a sql and then let the testing begin again lol

it all went straight forward no and i mean NO dropped bolts of even claret from me was a bonus lol
nut one thing i do remember was the seals if you wont to calll them that the brass washers under the injectors the new ones where twice as thick as the original ones i removed?? like the original was 1.5 mm?? and the new was about 3.5mm thick little [censored] but all went in and working perfect even sounds better after the quick start last night in the shed at midnight lol
hahaha eat that next door wanker who stays up all morning hehehehehehe..
hope my compressor pissed him off to at midnight lol :ugeek:

oh and i forgot to say that when i was reversing the car out of the shed and stopped to pull door down car was idling as the engine light was flashing so i was going to take it for a warm up to come back to do sql

so as it was sitting there temp starting to climb up to normal it starts to make a noise like sql learning i stoped and thouoght wtf is going on here
and yes it was doing its own sql when got to temp and then the lights went out
i thought wow thats preety cool
so i took it for a drive around the big block and came back and did a sql with the chip out then checked my references and yep all under 30ms now yay happy times for me.

took for drive and yer much nicer to drive and running cooler as well so i thought WTF lets chuck tune 6 at it and see what happens

heheheh i like it a lot little bit smokey on first stab but after that hold on to your undies ladies lol
now i just need me 3"zorst
in my usual race track i dint even crack 500deg c up the hill so cheering for me mid 400s i got yay
next test will be hook boat up and pull the arse out of it up some hills to see if i limp it still..

but im getting closer to the final quest

so today i had the next stage in the car chapter i had a custom made mandrel bent 3" exhaust fitted with stainless cat and stainless straight through muffler
i got the dump pipe wrapped in that thermal bandage and 1/8 gas fitting reinstalled for my pyro
car still smells like new exhaust just need the paint and stuff to burn in and the muffler to get its hot coating o fblack soot and change the note just a tad wasnt after a nosie but i think it sounds good now and the turbo is quicker to spool and dump the extra boost quickly when i get of the load pedal

so now i need to find out what tune to run in it and monitor the temps on the egt

i allso fitted a 2.5x2.5 awning on the 4x4 ready for the gympie muster in aug cant wait..
awning tent is next and a fridge and im set to rock out and have a great week away camping...

K & N filter also fitted and running nicely

i have to finish painting my boat to get it out of my shed and on the water and test the pull of the challey
now

srb they had 60000 on them i know not much but the injectors where failing a sql 3 or 4 times then they woould accept the sql and it has allways been a diesel drinker and still is lol but not as bad
also they had a very high feed back response to the sql out side of mitsubishis range
lol i could see it with my tool but those wankers at mitsubishi coouldnt find any thing numerous times
seem quieter and smoother now and the old injectors where a half arsed attempt from denso but the internals were prone to wear and tear as not much coatings in the inside
now the newer injectors have a full internal coating to make last longer i was told from denso people..
so lets see what happens now..

but was only under load uphills with trailer in tow
seems to be so far good as i drove in to town last night and the trip shit thing was saying 9.5lts per 100 i have never seen it down there before and the cars still pulls hard
just need to fill up and see what the economy is doing now i will keep you posted
might take a few weeks as i dont drive it much in the week and the wifey only does the kids at school drop
so mm so far good i think

ok it has been a while since last update

i am still getting this crap limp modes so it is going in to the tuners to fix this crap once and for all they asure me it will fix it and get me more power
so i said i like that idea lets do it

but i have been moding again and i will get some pickys tomorrow
new FMIC, trans cooler moved so it gets air flow and a thermo fitted for good measure on the trans cooler
i wonted to fit a 10" thermo on the intercooler but looks like i was a little over jealous in the sizing and the room avaliable so it might just get a little one if i can fit it in lol...

when i am finished i will take more pickys and then it is off to the dyno and let the fun begin with the tune and fixing limp

the chip will be run on dyno for results and then the tune after for a good measure up against each other....

oh yer i also fitted a little 50amp anderson to the front bar so i can plug in my air comp for the tyres
no more aligator clips to the battery and bonnet up lol just lazy i spose

surprisingly the FMIC is coming along nicely and even easier than i was expecting
with a few custom mounts made and drilled
just needs 2 new 90 deg silicone hoses to finish it off
also would help if some spaz (ie me) ordered the right parts(hose size) to fit old pipes and new ones
oh well cant get it right every time lol

stay tuned

so so update long time between updates lol
i have indeed had the ecu remap done and wow what a difference to drive
fuel usage is up or the same which is what i thought anyhwow

front mount intercooler installed and works a treat dyno results prove 1psi drop threw the hole rev range so happy with that and tuner was suprised

installed a trans cooler as some would of seen me posting about recently with a fan to cool it has a heat switch on it so turns on at 40deg c
so allows it to heat up but not go crazy
so far the temps seem really good hovering around 65-70degc around town so looks promising
as before it would go in to the 80-90s same driving
and in the sand pppffffttt 100+
so next 4x4 mission i can see if it work 100% or not but so far looks good

and the weekend just gone i had to change out the dam rail limiter AGAIN as the one i had was letting to much fuel past to regularly
i would drive of and the rail would be 23,000psi then drop to 6,500psi then sit there for a few seconds then the same time it would be blowing black smoke like it was a train going up a hill
then after its little hissy fit it would then crack back up to 24,000psi and away we would go
good smoke screen to get away from people lol couldnt see me lol

now the power is much better and feels responsive again
even the wifey said what did you do to the car ???
so it must of made a difference as i always say can u feel the difference ???
her standard responce is NO

but this time is yes lol finally hehehehe hahahahaha

fitted new provent catch can and well it is awsome no oil in inlet or intercooler anymore
as amatter of fact i have been using semi sin oil and i dont get anywhere near as much blow by with this oil comparded to the mineral oil???

so im going to keep on using it $120 for 20ltrs is good i think and way less blow by happy times

and made local here in brissy wel just north a tad lol
supporting local companys is where it is at......

oh put a new set of cerramic brake pads on and they work real well
thats it for now until a nother few months lol

ps im in the middle of a big mod time will tell lol

Pete, what rail limiter did you have in there and what did you replace it with?

Agree with the semi-synthetic too. Keep an eye on Supercheap specials - sometimes they get much cheaper than $120/20l.
