In other breaing news, Ryan at Mumfords Custom Offroad Everything here in Perth fitted me an Outback Armour kit yesterday. :D Rides great on bitumen. ;) Looking forward to taking it offroad next weekend around Kalgoorlie and putting it through it's paces.

What do you reckon the height of the lift you got from this kit?

Looks great, makes my decision easier as well. My 2" Dobinsons has the rear sitting just under the rail like yours and have been agonizing over what size tryes will fill the guards.

Hi Sav_1 THis is the OASU404700E Expedition Kit. The installer, reckoned it is 50mm I will be checking this afternoon, against my measurements. It feels like 50mm when I hop in it.

Well its done and I can't be happier with it. Expedition HD on the front and the Trail LD/MD on the rear. Makes the 265/70/R17 look small so 33s it will be when those tyres are done. I have only driven it unladen and will test out the evil speed bumps in the airport car park tomorrow but ride is definitely firmer. Feels like a different ute. Barely any roll in the corners and although i don't have the numbers, its defiantly more than a 35mm lift in the front. Zack from 4x4 Accessories in Rockingham did a great job. Fast, friendly and took the time to go over the whole kit with me. Highly recommended. Pic to follow...

Nice. After my recent Ultimate lift my measurements from the hub were:

Before Lift (with Bullbar)
Front 517mm
Rear 587mm

After Lift
Front 573mm
Rear 620mm

+56mm
+33mm

It Looks Good Sav_1. The Outback Armour kit definitely makes the ride firmer, I feel it a lot running empty, but the difference loaded on gravel corrugations is unbelievable. No more "skittering" and it works really well in the rough. I have no regrets about this kit. It definitely lifts the front more, gets rid of the nose "droop" and levels it out.

Following this with interest. The current set up I have has very ordinary quality strut bushes.
