Sav's Triton

Postby Sav on Mon Aug 22, 2016 1:01 pm

Hey guys I have been floating around for awhile and thought it was about time I put my Triton up.

I bought it in April 2015 brand new from Mitsubishi for $29,000 since then I have spent a little bit of cash on it.

This is what it looked like when I brought it home.

After that I put on:

Rear bar from TJM
Bullbar from TJM
Narva spotties
eBay sidesteps and rails
Sports bar painted black
Tonneau cover
Dobinson's 2inch lift
Safari Snorkel
80 channel UHF
Black steel rims with 265/75/R16
Domin8r Winch
Bush Skins Bash Plates

I think that is everything.

Future mods:

Canopy (already bought waiting for delivery)
Draws (already bought waiting for delivery)
Roof racks
Dual Battery System (already bought waiting for the draws)

Can of Plasti dip spray from super cheap, around $30. I've got 3 or 4 coats on mine and it has chipped, cracked or peeled yet. Its going strong.

Thumper elite battery system now installed

Drawers from 4wdsupacentre have arrived as well.

I just need to make the wings for the drawers and wait for the canopy to get here which is some time mid November

Thanks mate.. install is a breeze pull the drawers apart, line it up, i measured like 5 times though haha. Once the first 2 are in the second 2 are easy.

I just need to get longer bolts for the front and put some silicone on and away we go.

Ill go pick up some carpet tomorrow to finish the wings

Did some more work this weekend. Sealed the boxes with some clear finished screwing and sticking them together. And carpeted the lids.

How much space was up the front between the draw end and where the tray starts?

Hey Sav, ute looks good.

I used to have a tub liner in my ute too, but I took it out to gain a little extra depth in the tub, the liner takes up about 10-15mm from memory. It had worn the paint away from the tray from moving around anyway so it was a bit pointless

Can't remember exactly but enough that I have made up another box. I'll post up a pic once I put it in. For some reason I have 70mm in my head.

Yeah I may be taking it out and lining the floor with marine carpet. I think haha just one more thing to add to the list.
