Every time I landed with a crunch, I had a smile on my face as it was more proof to Tars that sliders were needed. 8-) Mind you, the first dents in the side steps were with her driving and happened in our driveway.

Good to see it's all dirty too :D

Cheers Joe. Sounds like yours won't be long now. Unfortunately, it wasn't actually enjoying myself that got it dirty. The Barossa is mainly dirt roads except for the terrorist roads through the middle. These roads are generally to be avoided.

I finally got around to putting my rear factory bar back on after modding it to fit the GLX towbar. It's only taken since last September. I only want it for the reverse lights anyway so there was no real need to hurry.  Happy with the result.

Happy with the departure angle too. 8-)

I've seen you dragging your arse around T. Believe me, it takes away a lot of the arse clenching moments that you have when dropping of a step. No more need to worry about dents in the cab. 8-) If you don't use the tub fully, I highly recommend moving the battery there. Imagine how the MN drivers go with the rear step and towbar. :o Click to view larger picture

I finally got the performance boost i was looking for since fitting the 265/75 rubber. A Chip It chip was installed over the weekend. Man, those chip have a lot of cables. :o I'll have to learn what the rest do one day. Goes well now both off the line and up the hills. No need to go back gears anymore. Even the 20% incline by my place is still accelerating in 3rd. Even with standard tyres, it used to struggle up that. The south-eastern freeway is back to 5th all the way. 8-) I'm stoked.

$780 I think. It was only 2 months ago as well. They're a top bit of gear. I would highly recommend Hazard's work.

Managed to go one more step towards having a GLX-R rather than the VR it was when purchased. Mine is an MY08 where the differences between the two models was limited to barwork, hardcover, bluetooth and GLX-R floor mats. The barwork and hard cover was never wanted due to bullbar and canopy. So the only differences left were the bluetooth and floor mats.
Got a genuine Bluetooth kit off Ebay for $86 delivered and installed it this morning. Was reasonably easy to install apart from getting the radio back into it's slot with all the extra wiring behind it. :x After much pushing, cajoling and wiggling it finally went in so that the wires weren't pinched. Had to move my UHF to behind the gearsticks too but that was no trouble. Turned the car on and it fired up. My phone detected it straight away and connected. Volume good at both ends in the first call I made to myself from the home phone. SWEET. 8-)
Now, if anyone has a set of GLX-R floor mats they want to get rid of........please don't contact me. I prefer deep dish rubber mats to carpet ones.
I now have a GLX-R. 8-) 8-)

Bugger. I forgot about the fancy badgework those GLX-R's have. :x Oh well, looks like a trip to a dealer with a screwdriver.

Geez. There's been some tumble weed action in this thread foor a while.
I guess when you ain't allowed to drive it, any mods go on the back burner.

Well, that's all changed now that Boycee has his new business and is offering good gear at cheap prices. My wallet is starting to get feel the pressure already. I'm sure I'd hang onto me cash a bit longer if he moved somewhere else. Cheap prices and no freight is just too much for my impulsive buying habit especially when Tars leaves town.

I took delivery of one of his awnings last weekend then this week, after dark and a couple of beers took to the simple task of installing it. 4 bolts (and six holes drilled  ) through the ARB roof rack uprights and all is sweet.

The snorkle is on it's way apparently so looking forward to seeing how many extra holes I get from that install.

The led strip lighting should show up at some stage soon too so I should soon be able to see inside the canopy after dark again. My fridge put the standard ARB amp guzzler out of action on the first border trip. The curse of the three way fridge. Due to the exhaust it has to be as high as possible. I have it on a set of draws and it just clears the rubbers around the back window. The slightest bumps had it hitting the interior light. The Border track has serious bumps so it was bye bye night vision.

Sorry Greedy...never heard of you mate. But good to see you've found your way back to this build thread after so many years.

I think you need a Scotts Rod 3" exhaust and some more boost as well ;)
